For the first time since Oct I think, I see some ground outside. Muddy for sure but definitely ground. It is wonderful. We still have a long way to go but there is hope. So of course my mind is starting to drift toward planting. My tomatoes need to get started in the basement, I need to think about what flowers I want this year. The smell of fresh soil, the warmth of the sun..... soon, soon.
Of course planting will be hampered by this cast if I still have it. But poor Rick who has been taking over more and more things I used to do since my hands wimped out on me can do it. It won't be the same though. I like getting my hands dirty. I like seeing the results of my planting. But, surely this cast won't be on forever.
My dieting is going fair. I do great all day but after supper I have to watch it. Snacking while watching a movie is a downfall for me. I am loaded up with lowfat popcorn and rice cakes. Rick is loaded up with these wonderful looking sugar cookies. I have oranges, he has chocolate. I have no fat milk, he has whole. He is thin, I am chunky. Such is life.. Not always fair.
I am writing everything I eat at fitday.com. and I am back to measuring foods. I want to start back to the gym. What machines can I use with the cast? Can't lift weights, they don't want you on the treadmill with just one arm. Can't swim. I can walk the track, but would rather walk down by the river with Zoey and Rick. So that is my plan today. And I am drinking enough water to sink a ship. I maybe should have waited until after the walk, hummmm, no place to hit a restroom there. Always a problem when walking. For me at least.

Walking good no matter where you are, I do dvd from Leslie Sansone. Called " Walk away the Pounds". I like it because you don't have to worry who is with you and you do it privately. That how I lost my first 25lbs. I am back at it and need to watch more of my foods too. Just hang in there it'll happen. Take care and hope that wrist feels better. Nancy
I might just take a short walk today Julie. M toes let me know if I go to far at the moment as I will still be doing daily salt baths for them for another three weeks. At least whilst I do it I can sit in front of my laptop and catch up with friends.
We have had green grass for anumber of days now. The frost gives it a lick of white over night but as the sun rises it warms it out of sight again.
Roll on when we can pant up or pots and gardens. My favourite time is early summer for flowers.
Hope the cast isn't giving you any sore bits. Take care.

So sorry my friend..I had laugh when I read over my comments. My keyboard is playing me up again and missing strikes. I love the 'panting up' our pots. That is a humerous bit of imagery.
Sorry about that. lol
I will check out this fitday.com; I signed up on Livestrong.com some time back but it took too long to load up when I was trying to log-in meals...
In wild optimism, I signed up for a half-marathon many months ago - I had plenty of time to train, right? - now it is 5 DAYS AWAY & I will likely be walking most of it.
