How could they hurt this poor animal

There are cruel people in this world we have no doubt. Maybe because I am a dog owner it makes it harder for me to see these poor animals abused. When I look at Zoey's warm brown eyes and the way she is always so happy to see you, so loyal a friend it makes it even harder to understand. So of course I donated to help. If you have a little extra this year won't you help Charlie. He needs it soon. Read his story here.

Allergies and Dust mites

I am still messing trying with this sinus infection trying to get it under control. The doc put me on antibiotics and zyrtec. Since I get this every year as soon as we close the house up he thinks it may be allergies. Maybe dust mite allergies. Yick.

Dust mites freak me out. They are so tiny you can't see them. They live by eating the skin you flake off your body. They live on your eyelids, your pillows, everyplace, millions and millions. And you get allergies breathing in their excretions. Feces. And then you got to think, maybe living on them is some type of mite that eats their flakes. And a mite that lives off their flakes. Infinate colonies of such minut particles that the most powerful microscope on earth couldn't see them. Every time I take a shower do they prepare for the tsunami? A ecosystem so fragile that all the bacteria soaps we are using has caused extinction of whole species. We will never know.

But I do know this. I have ordered pillows that are resistant to dust mites. I am sure in a world so vast and so full of skin flakes that killing off my few billion will not make a dent in the scheme of things. But maybe, just maybe I will finally get rid of this sinus infection and feel like a normal human being again. It will be a good thing.

Yesterday we ate at my son's. His girlfriend made a great dinner and we had some wines make in Iowa that were wonderful with the meal. Cranberry wine, yummy. I started out the day feeling totally crappy, I had chest pain off and on and am still just exhausted. Rick went into A-fib and he was feeling under the weather, what a pair we make. But after visiting and drinking some wine we both felt better. Family, friends and good times, the best medicine.

* 1 cup(s) fat-free half-and-half
* 1 cup(s) fat-free chicken broth
* 3 tablespoon(s) all-purpose flour
* 1 teaspoon(s) poultry seasoning
* 2 cup(s) roasted, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces
* 1 package(s) (10-ounce) frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
* 4 scallions, cut into 1/4-inch-thick rounds
* 1 teaspoon(s) kosher salt
* 1/4 teaspoon(s) freshly ground pepper
* Cooking spray
* 1 can(s) (7.5 ounce) refrigerated country-style biscuits

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. In medium saucepan, whisk half-and-half, broth, flour, and poultry seasoning until combined. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer, whisking frequently, 4 minutes, or until thickened. Stir in chicken, mixed vegetables, scallions, salt, and pepper. Cover and keep warm.
2. Lightly coat 5 (6 oz) ramekins with cooking spray. On a lightly floured surface, overlap 2 biscuits and press edges together; roll biscuits into a 4-inch round (they don't have to be perfect). Roll out remaining biscuits the same way. Fill ramekins with chicken mixture. Top each with biscuit dough, pressing dough onto side of ramekin to adhere; cut a 1/2-inch-round vent hole in middle of dough.
3. Bake 12 minutes, or until biscuits are golden and filling bubbly. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

part 3 and 4, Global Warming Hoax

Happy Thanksgiving

We Gather Together

We gather together to ask the Lord's blessing;
He chastens and hastens his will to make known;
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing,
Sing praises to his name: He forgets not his own.

Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining,
Ordaining, maintaining his kingdom divine;
So from the beginning the fight we were winning;
Thou, Lord, wast at our side, All glory be thine!

We all do extol thee, thou leader triumphant,
And pray that thou still our defender wilt be.
Let thy congregation escape tribulation;
Thy name be ever praised! O Lord, make us free!
Amen

Work and feeling better

I ended up missing 3 days of work this week with this sinus infection that won't go away. Plus it moved into my middle ear causing me to be extremely dizzy if I stood up or walked. Nauseated too. I went to see my young doctor on Monday and he cave me some antibiotics for my sinus infection. I have rarely had an illness make me so totally exhaused. so it is with happiness I can say I made it through work last night. I still keep running a fever, up and down,up and down.. But I could walk without being nauseated. Tis a good thing..

Remains quiet and withdrawn since the accident.. Brooding. He read the mans obit. He dreams of the crash. I hope it gets over it but it would be terrible to see.

I had wonderful patients last night. Interesting. One gent was confused so we had a lively night but it kept me from feeling sorry for myself since I felt so crummy. I was charge and it went smooth with only one admit. Tonight I only work 4 hours. I am doing more with my shoulder and it pains me pretty good by the time I get home but it is getting stronger.

Well, its time to go to bed. My soft warm bed beckons me, Night all

More Hoax news

The Scam that is Global Warming

As a child I was in awe of scientists. The things they could do. Send people to the moon, find cures for diseases. I trusted everything they said. I trusted teachers, I trusted our government. I was a trusting soul.

I grew up. Government are corrupt, scientists can be bought off, teachers can teach falsehoods if its in the books. And it is not a new thing. There is no such thing as a perfect society. Even the most primitive have people who are born with that corruptness in their hearts. Our politicians sell themselves to special interest groups. Money changes hands and the little people pay. I swear if they told me their was going to be rain these days I would wonder if it was true. How can we ever believe any of them again?

They have proven what many of us knew. Global warming was a hoax. There were honest scientists trying to tell us for months. The hoax scientists and special interest groups did all they could to disqualify them. They spent a fortune because they stand to make a fortune. And that is always the underlying reason for the corruption we see. Greed.

Where is Al Gore, the snake oil salesman now that his hoax has been exposed? In the old days tar and feather would have been utilized. Nowadays. Even with the truth being screamed from the rooftops. Our president still plans to go to Copenhagen and pass the Cap and Trade. Why! Its a fraud! THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS MAN MADE GLOBAL WARMING. But once again it makes no difference to the crooks in power that we know. They are so bent on greed, money little grubby hands out for more and more of our money they pay us no mind. Where are the press headlines? Where is the outrage. The press has been bought off. The corrupt found their price and paid it. Instead they are going after the whistle blower. Bought off.

I think what really saddens me more then the corruptness of the government is the continued support of some of the people who are going to be hurt by this. Did they stop paying attention as soon as they got paid for their vote. Why aren't they outraged at being used this way. Are they too stubborn to admit they made a mistake? Why are we putting up with this? Every single day another falsehood exposed.

I have been reading Sarah Palin's book. I think the reason there is so much opposition to her book is she talks about the corruption in both parties. If you read her book there is not a thing in it that most honest people won't agree with. But all crooked politicians will hate it. This is not a one party thing. This is across the board. Which is why we need to change the board. Start over. Because what we have has been taking from us for so long they believe they are entitled. Well you know what. They aren't. And remember. We are then many, they are the few. Before it is too late we need to take this country back. Have you called your representative, what a joke, today?

Obamacare for Seniors

Jail time

President Obama may actually be telling one truth, he will be creating jobs. Prison guards to watch all the very dangerous criminals who don't have insurance. As it stands now 70 % of people have insurance. Of the 30% that don't a large part of them are the young who have decided not to spend the money on it. So the rest, about 2% of the general public don't have insurance. I am not including illegal aliens in this. And of that 2% mostl will admit that in an emergency they can go to any emergency room and get treated. They are just really ticked off, as apparently many people are, that they have to pay for it.

So what do you do with these people who aren't insured. Why throw them in the slammer of course. With all the other malcontents of society. Not of course any government tax evaders, but the rest of us common slugs. And we will need some room because our prisons are full to bursting. So lets legalize pot and release all those prisoners right off the bat. And gee, some of those murders weren't premeditated, lets let them go. And any of the ill really old prisoners, toss them. Oh wait, we might have to bring them back because they might not be able to afford our insurance. The slimes. So lets build more prisons, more jobs, get more guards, more jobs, get people to find the people who aren't insured, even more jobs. Wow. WOW. What a country. Change I can't, seriously.......can't believe I am seeing.

And will this replace medicare? I mean you won't really need it right? None of the tests we run on people are really necessary anyway. It will just prolong your life and how selfish of you to want to do that. Think of the people! Think of your country. How can you be so all about you. Take one for the team. To team go. Far far away...................

Sunday already

Hollyhocks, such an old fashioned and pretty flower. I used to make my little dancing dolls out of them and they come in so many different colors. Oh, childhood memories.

Well, I have been sick the entire weekend. Spending long hours in bed sleeping and just taking it easy. I think it is my sinus's again. Every time I walked around I was so dizzy and I think it was because my ear was so plugged. But my fever is better and I hope to make it to work tonight. I still feel pretty washed out.

Rick went for a motorcycle ride yesterday. When he got home he pale and shaken. He looked shocky. I was very alarmed thinking he had had another accident. But he was not in one. He came across one. A very very bad one where a man had died and another man was in bad condition. It was minutes after the accident. There were people there but the emergency crews hadn't arrived yet. There wasn't anything anyone could do to save the man who died and it was horrible.

He had a hard time riding afterward and about 2 miles after the wreak got all shaky but finally made it home. It will haunt him for a long time.

Well, not much to say. Still feeling pretty punk. Thinking about the short live spans of my side of the family I always have in the back of my mind, I wonder if this will be IT. I have outlived my mother, in a year I will have out lived my grandmother. My father was young. Makes me want to enjoy each and every day I wake up above ground. And I do. Basically. Even with my ranting and raving..... I do. Happy Days all.
