Gee, another Doctor appointment.,

I go from not seeing a doctor since I broke my toe to seeing 3 doctors in one week. Today will be the one for my shoulder. It feels better today since I have been off work. Thank goodness. I will be glad when all this is over so I have more things to put in here besides poor poor pitiful me, LOL. Things like how well my exercising is going when I can finally do some without it hurting so bad. One more week and they fix this darn wrist and then watch out.

Monday I get my stitches out. I am still having nerve pain in my head which is pretty uncomfortable. I hope he didn't hit a nerve when he cut the bump out. It was 6 cm round and deep so they did cut down a ways. That has been the worse thing. It is like little electrical shocks running across my head and that is not pleasant.

Then after the doc I go to my youngest son's house. His birthday was yesterday. I hate to say how old because surely I am not old enough to have a son that age, especially a younger son but he was 32. He is a great kid and I have been blessed to have him. We almost lost him a couple of times so we are grateful he is here. He had kidney failure from a strep infection, ARDS, a respiratory disease that is often fatal, and Reyes Syndrome after the chicken pox. For years his lungs were so bad he could barely breath. After about 9 years he finally got over the asthma and lung damage and now today can easily ride 60 to 100 miles on his bike and is very fit. We are very lucky and of course love him to pieces. Anyway, I am cutting his cats, Ebony's claws as Dan is afraid to hurt her. Truthfully I am the only that can do it without getting scratched. The cat knows better then to scratch me, LOL. I supply her food. And we are going to frame a poster for him for his birthday.

I have a funny story about him. Remember when he roommate got Dan's internet shut down? Well Dan went down to complain because they were still charging him. They told him he could get it turned on again by filling out some paperwork and talking to tech support and then the girl asked him, didn't you get our email? We sent you all the instructions! Well Duh, you turned off my internet remember! Anyway we got a good giggle over that one. And now he is hooked up again and password protected so his roomie can't pull anymore fast ones.

Now for the political stuff. Just why does President Obama need His bluetooth and not one supplied by the secret service or whoever it is that supplies them. A nice secure phone. And why are we cutting him slack when we wouldn't let ANYONE ELSE do this? Call me paranoid, but it seems weird to me.

As weird as The ex Gitmo prisoner who is now the number two man in Yemen's al-qaida group. As weird as Malasia releasing Yazid Sufaat from prison stating he is no longer a threat and has been rehabilitated. This is the man that played an assisting role in planning the 9/11 attacks. He hosted two of the hijackers along with two other veteran Al Qaeda operatives at a terror "summit" in Kuala Lumpur in January 2000. And counterterror officials here expressed doubt that Sufaat has abandoned his radical Qaeda views or his desire to attack the United States with biological weapons. But President Obama had declared an end to the war on Terror. Well you know what? That terrifies me.

As scary also as Senior Democrat Chuck Schumer saying that talk radio should be censored just like pornography, ( like they have been at all successful at that). So free speech will be gone to be replaced by like thinking liberal pre-approved and pre-censored TV and radio stations, gee sounds pretty socialistic doesn't it.

So lets see, thats down with freedom of speech, down with protecting us from terrorist attacks, down with lobbyists, down with the freedom of information act, whoops repeating myself here, down with high expectations and a hope our children will have a better life then we did and a better eduction, down with any say in our taxes and on what they are spent on, down with our way of life and onward to the socialist dream......which is just that, a dream.

Since most of the people he appointed could and should very well have been in prison for, 1 stealing classified documents, remember Berger they fell down his pants accidently,2 perjury, Clinton's, 3 Tax evasion by our new Treasury Secretary Mr. Geithner who not once but twice was slapped on the wrist for that little crime. Gee....we wouldn't go to prison for a long time for that would we. I just want to know. Is there an honest person in all of Washington who does not have a criminal past? Ok OK, I suppose there must be some.

And the Economic advisor Robert Reich thinks we should keep the jobs out of the hands of white contractors and skilled workers and put it into the hands of the poor minorities. Remember when Russia did that? Took the farms away from the farmers who knew how to farm and gave them to the poor oppressed minorities. They didn't know how to farm and millions of people starved to death. Most communistic countries have done simular things, Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Pol Pot. Killed all the professionals and put unskilled labor in place because Power to The People! Didn't we have one of our people running for president screech that at the top of his screechy little voice. So history repeats itself again, over and over and over and over................ Now before anyone gets mad, tell me. Who do you want building a bridge you drive over, someone who has been trained..... or. Who do you want teaching your children? Someone who has been trained or......... Who do you want putting your furnace in or electrical wiring in, or building your house, or building your roads, or or or or or. Operating on your child.

So there you have my rant for today. Nicely put on the end of my post so those who don't want to read it don't have to. Because I am a nice person. Really. A conservative, bible loving, American freedom loving mother wife and grandmother.

One last thing, these are the words that I would gladly and proudly hold my hand over my heart for. Unlike ..........

Since I thought my lump may be cancer I was not upset when he said it was. I was pretty sure it was good kind, if there is any such thing as a good kind of cancer. So I wasn't shook......until I told Rick. He turned white and sat down hard. I could tell he didn't know the types of skin cancers and why this was a good one, In the space of a week we have gotten a glimpse of what if may be like without the other. After 35 1/2 year it isn't a pleasant thought. And he is nervous about my surgery as it is . I am worried about him. I am glad he is taking the medicine. I want him with me for years to come. who would wash my hair! Still all in all I will be re leaved when this is all over. The cloud is lifted so to say. I want to go out and play.

Well I am off work now until my surgery unless I work some this weekend. I ended up missing yesterday because the place they have my stitches on my temple must have caused some swelling and I am having these sharp shooting nerve pains on my head plus my arm is killing me from the tetanus shot. I actually felt under the weather and can't remember if the shot affected me that way the last time I had it. I just felt awful yesterday and not to peachy today. The headache could go away and make me happy.

The picture below I got in an email. Aren't they beautiful. Strange that there are two. I am not sure where they were spotted, not around here that is sure.

And this picture is one huge sturgeon. It weighted 1000 I think. They did let it go afterward because any over 5 feet are released. What a neat catch. Look at the face of the man who caught the fish, smile almost as big as the fish.

Well I see President Obama has declared we no longer have any say in how we are taxed. Not that we seemed to have much anyway, but now it is declared. Oh, and what town is he letting the terrorists loose in? I bet not his town. And if you want to see what the families of victims of 9-11 think of it click here.

Then he said in his speech we have to lower our expectations. Not sure what that means. Tell our children they Can't be all that they can be? Not expect our generation to do better then our parents? ( that is probably a given).

He is also trying to block any of President Bushes pending law's. Among them is the rules including a "right of conscience" law that allows medical providers to refuse to offer any practice they find morally objectionable, including abortion and other reproductive-health procedures. Since I morally would not be able to work in this situation this law allows me to refuse. Since Obama is for full term abortions he might make it mandatory to work in these area's or face losing your job. This wouldn't be just abortions, this would be placing born fetuses in the back room and not doing care for them if the mother had come in for a full term abortion (which will be the law if he passes it), could be up the day of the babies birth. This goes against the oath I took when I became a nurse. Refusing care to someone because they are mentally handicapped, pass the age of productivity, race, color or financial status is something that I do not believe in. And I should not be forced to do what morally I consider wrong. I would have to leave the profession I love.

Our faith in the new president was reflected by the loud crash as the stock market fell lower then ever before with the swearing in of a new president. The sound of running feet as companies fired people right and left and made plans to relocate companies elsewhere came next. And the new health care for the masses? We were told to eliminate 110 Full time positions as the hospitals already are taking a beating with people not paying. They expect it to be much worse. So everyone will be covered but there won't be anyone there to take care of them. This is all in the first day. Interesting to see what comes next. Interesting and scary. No wonder my head hurts so bad.

Doc

I went to the doc today and had the area removed. He said it is probably a basal cell cancer. It didn't hurt taking it off because he numbed it and put in a couple of stitches, but it is smarting now. Right by my temple so it looks pretty silly. He is pretty sure it is cancer but not 100% what type so I am hoping for the basal cell which is usually curable by just removing it. Monday I will get the stitches out. I also got a tetanus shot, ouch. I couldn't remember when I had my last tetanus shot so I had to have another.

While I was there I got some samples for Rick for his blood pressure so we are all set for awhile. I work 2 more nights and then I am off. And this morning I saw my asthma doc and am in good shape for my surgery. I will be happy when it is done.

Dan had a friend come down who is a plumber. He fixed Dan's pipe and put in the latest and greatest plumbing. So Dan is a happy man.

Well, I am going to take some Tylenol as my incision is smarting. I can tell the numbing med is wearing off. Should be a long day.

PS, the spectacle today is costing tax payers around $150 million dollars! Another first! Wasn't he talking about stopping Wasteful Government Spending!

Let the fun begin

Rick

Well Rick heard on some of his tests. The MRI was good. The carotids showed some blockage. So much for our inexpert opinion, LOL. We both watched them do and thought it looked good. They didn't have the results to his echo or bubble study.

Tomorrow I go there to get this growth looked at and I am not leaving without a blood pressure script for my husband.

Day off

In spite of my patients being just wonderful and polite it was a difficult weekend for me. My pain has been pretty unbearable . I just can't get comfortable. So I am glad I am off. My left arm feels like a lead pipe and hurts. I have therapy to day and will throw myself on their mercy for something for pain. I just can't take it much longer.

We also are going to see if we can get Ricks test. Then I need to make a appointment to have a growth removed from my face, It looks cancerous and sprang up about 3 weeks ago. So one thing after the other. Rick finally fessed up he had been having some slugged speech and drooping when he was first sick. Why he didn't call me. Who knows. So lots going on today.

I hope the office opens soon as I want to go to bed.

A friend of sons came to town and fixed Dan's plumbing. He is pretty tickle pink. It was a lot less they it could have been.

Well, I am getting too tired to type. Take care.
