Every fall I bring my porch plants down in the basement to winter. We have a shop light set up with a cool and warm light. It is on a timer and mimics being outside. My plants do well.I decided this year to see if I could grow a vegetable by this method so started with a pepper. And it works. I wasn't as consistent watering as I should have been but I think I might try cherry tomatoes and maybe try other things like potatoes, carrots, onions. I have a large area I could set up. so I am ordering some heirloom tomato seeds and will start out with that. Pretty cool huh. Imagine fresh tomatoes in the winter, home grown.. Yummy.

Tomatoes sound yummy in the winter.
Pretty pepper. Helen
Fresh vegetables in the winter. If I had the room I would set it up in a heartbeat. (Hugs)Indigo
