I had just wonderful patients this week. The nicest people. So that was great. And I wore my brace most the time so my wrist isn't bothering me like it did my last weekend on. So life was good. Best news, I am off tonight. I am not going to do a thing but that is great because it snowed again and I just want to take it easy.
I guess we are going to get snow off and on all week. Goody. Our snowblower is still at our sons. They are johnny on the spot when they want to borrow it but slow as snails when we want it back. And since it is heavy and we need his truck to get it here......
I keep reading about the horrible way things are going in Haiti's. The entire world practically is there helping but it is still horrible. No running water, no possibility of escape, no jobs and not enough to eat. It breaks my heart. There need will be for such a long time and it sounds like their corrupt government is starting back with the usual bribes and business as usual, even at its peoples expense. The poor children. Everyday be so grateful for what you have. Because in the blink of an eye...
Friday I get my tests. I am hurting just thinking of how I will have to lay in the MRI machine with my arm above my head. The arm I had shoulder surgery in. The swelling in my wrist is better. Hummmmm, maybe I should just cancel. And that emg. Needles being stuck in my palm and hooked up to current. The closer it gets the better my memory is getting at how unpleasant that is. Boo Hoo for me. But I tell you. I can still run circles around those younger nurses. Just can't open my bottles, LOL. I am not ready for the scrape heap yet!
Per Politico, "Pelosi, who has come under fire in the past for spending on flowers, also spent roughly $30,610 in food and beverage and about $2,740 on bottled water, contributing to the nearly $120,531 total from all congressional leadership accounts. Her offices defended the charges, saying the Speaker’s office holds more ceremonial events with visiting dignitaries than other congressional offices. They also use a local florist, and about a third of her flower expenses this quarter were for Jack Kemp’s funeral". Isn't there suppose to be some type of spending freeze? Pay taxpayers pay.

I need more days off. I don't understand with all the money pouring in to Haiti, why our military doesn't have it under control. Clearly a lack of leadship, and I think you now who I am singling out.
Glad that you wrist is doing some better. I dread it for you having to get that MRI in that position. They waste money all the time, just like it grows on trees. Not coming out of their pockets. Have you been watching the eagle cam? Mama laid her first egg yesterday with snow all in her nest. She tried her best to pull straw on top of the nest from the bottom. She just couldn't wait any longer about laying. She was exhausted after trying to get the snow out and then laying although her laying was easier this year than last year. Helen
'There but for the grace of God go you or I'. Those poor Haitians are at the mercy of so many 'well meaning people' with not enough organisation. God alone knows how many are still dying!
Water, food and shelter for the coming wet season should be priority. Surely some of this help can be implemented to everyone soon. It's basic needs for goodness sake!
Snow? Not again! I have a daughter just like your sons..lol
We are certainly soft touches we mum's and dads.
I have both toenails being removed next Monday. The first time this happened I felt it. The doctor said I must have an aberrant nerve. Sheesh! Now I have to go through it all again. I empathise with you regarding your arm and hand my friend. Wish we could stop time but those moments always arrive.
Thinking of you and glad you're feeling a bit better.
Hugs
Jeanie xx
Hope all your test go well and don't hurt as much as you think they will be over in the blink of an eye and you will be home again. Wishing you well Love Joan
