After a long day Christmas shopping I am ready to just kick off my duck poop filled shoes and relax. We went on a photo shoot the other day. Geese actually as you can tell by the photo. They are pretty cool but the shore was literally full of duck doo doo. Yick. And it is impossible to avoid it. Tip toe, through the geese poo in the morning, that's what I do, anyway, enough of Tiny Tim. Anyone remember him?
I am waiting for Rick to grill my steak to the tender and perfect medium state I love. I have sauted mushrooms with garlic to a just tender but perfectly tasting perfection and the wine is getting to the perfect temperature to assure drinking pleasure. The bread is getting the perfect warm toast and the twice baked potatoes are perfect. The perfect ending to a long day of shopping. Which I hate.
I can't stand shopping. Crowds, pushing and shoving, and still can't get close to what I want. I would order everything on line from the comfort of my computer if I didn't have to pay shipping. Kids running around like hyper little robots pointing at this and that that they must have. Parents dreaming of nap time and a sedative and older folks hugging the walls and trying not to be knocked down.
I was simply appalled about the Walmart worker who was killed by greedy shoppers. Unbelievable. They are hoping to press charges and I hope they can. Nothing is more important then a human life. I just was in shock about that. This entire week was shocking with the murders in India and then this. When did people get this way?
Well. The meal is almost ready. We have a movie we have rented to see and then I have a book I need to finish. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Dear Julia,
my whata beautiful entry!
Duck poop aside,(:) what a lovely picture! you must have been afforded a great view there!
Yes that Walmart tragedy was horrible I agree (sigh)
The terrorism in India really bothered me too
I thought it was so utterly cruel to kill innocent civilians
hugs,nat
That picture was worth all the duck poo you stepped in to get it. It's lovely.
Enjoy your week.
I don't like shopping either except in holidays in the evening. I just returned from 83° heat into a rainy cold weather, that's hard ! the flower photos I took in Egypt.

How peaceful and serene it must be to go for a lovely walk around this sanctuary for your well loved geese Julie. Beautiful photos as usual. I so admire your photography.
I got so angry when this news flashed up on TV. How can human beings, normally so well mannered, so quickly become a braying out of control mob? It defies logic!
What a sad day for the family of the chap who died. A lot of people will have to search their consciences now. Not just the shop owners but those who pushed and shoved in their avarice to get a bargain over others.
As for the India massacres. These men are murdering lowlife.
What is the world coming to?
Love
Jeanie xx
