End of the long week off

And the beginning of my long week on. It is after 5 and I haven't been called to stay home. Good. I want a full paycheck.

I haven't done much today. Reading Sarah Palin's new book. Pretty interesting. I have to work when she comes to town here so my son is going to stand in the long line and get our books signed. Nice of him.

Zoey went to the vet today. Yesterday our vets mother had an emergency so we changed until today. She is doing good. Now we just have to watch the area and see if it continues to get better since she is off the meds. Then we went to the art center as there is a great photographers work being shown. Clyde Butcher. His massive black and white photos are amazing and if you ever get a chance to see an exhibit by him I recommend it. So impressive.

I am feeling achy today. I have 2 more days I have to check my temp and stuff for my H1N1 exposure from work. Knowing my luck lately I suppose I will come down with the symptoms after I have been off work for a week and due to return. They will make me stay home if I get a fever. Maybe since I haven't been called today there are others off. I think it is just sinus season for me.

Rick is making turkey burgers. I haven't had them for a long time. And beets! Yummy.

Well, what do you know. A regular post without any rants. Not that I don't have any. That reporter that verbally attacked a 13 year old waiting to get her book signed I have some strong thoughts on. From MSNBC. Since when did reporters verbally attack instead of asking questions? I guess since they were taken over by the government and became their network. Shame on the reporter. And the fact they are forcing the health care vote this weekend again, bunch a crap. Same old crap. Sigh.

Other then that though I am looking forward to work. Tis a good thing.

My take on the healthcare and Zoey.

When I complain of our health care bill in the states I don't mean to include your country in the debate. I am happy you have a health care system that works for you in Canada and overseas. I wish we had one that worked as well. We should have. For what we pay it shouldn't even be an issue. This health care bill to us isn't about the problem of health care. It is about our government getting even more control over our life's and our pocket books. I don't know about your countries. I have enough problem with mine. But historically in this country our government can't keep their hands off of our money.

Every single paycheck I have ever earned I paid social security on. I pay state taxes, government taxes, school taxes, misc taxes. We all do. If it had been left alone none of us would have to worry about what happens after we retire. All the money we paid should be there for us. To pay for our health care in our senior years, to help us pay our bills, enough to live on. But our government spent it. Like the stimulus money we don't get a clear idea where it all goes. I have not worked my entire life since I was 12 for our president to take a million dollar date to NY. For our elected officials to take trips all over the country with a few dozen of their closest friends on my dime. Get $400.00 haircuts, have 22 personal assistants, several houses apiece and most of them not even paying taxes themselves. Plus we pay for their health care. And they get anything they want, botox, the best suite, whatever hospital or doctor they want to see.

We need to fix our government. Then we, the citizens who are the ones affected by our health care nightmare have to fix that. Because maybe your governments do what they tell your they are doing. And maybe you can trust your health care to them. To me, in my humble opinion, our government hasn't even proven they can be trusted to walk my beloved dog.

The thing is if the government does take control over our health care we won't be better off. It will be even worse. Because I have read the bill. All of it. Several times. It will be a nightmare. I can't afford to have my taxes go up thousands of dollars. And I shouldn't have to. I already work 3/4 of the year to pay my taxes as it is, more now. This has to stop. We have to get responsible people in our government who aren't just there to get rich and make their cronies rich. That is what this "health care" debate is about.

So, Please forgive me if I sounded like I was insulting your countries. I am just, while I am still free to do so, insulting who is running mine.

And last but not least. Zoey goes back to the vets today to get her sore checked. It looks so much better. Smaller, not red or inflamed. She gets her last antibiotic today. And she is acting like a puppy. She loves the cooler weather.

We are growing grass for Chester. He loved the fresh grass outside when it was nice. So I got some you get for cats and we are giving him some of that every day. He is one happy little piggy. When your pets are happy, well it just makes you happy.

Growing older

I noticed the other day my neck was jutting forward..... and up. Weird. But I realized it is because I was getting older. And my neck wanted to double on me. What the heck is up with that. So subconsciously I started holding my neck straighter. And when that didn't completely get rid of this ole double chin I started jutting it forward. Up and Out. Suck in the cheeks, square out the old jaw, smile widely to smooth out those old wrinkles. Yikes.. Really scary when I caught my reflection in the mirror.

I can't turn back the clocks of time. Not on my income anyway. Time to address the ravishes of time and embrace the life that went into the earning of the face. So. This is who I am. I earned it all. And every time I see my face in the mirror I smile. Because those wrinkles look so much better when you look at it that way.

Stimulus Plan = Slush plan

Yup, just another corrupt parties slush fund to pay off supporters and gain support. Most of the money earmarked for stimulus funds is sitting in some bank ready to support another corrupt government official running for office or to pay off another ACORN such group for doing all the dirties our government deems necessary. It went to districts that don't even exist. They talk about all the people coming out of the woodwork running scams on this stimulus money...... our government is running the biggest of them all. And who is paying for this scam, this Ponzi scheme? Us.

And don't forget Copenhagen. That is coming up in December. That is when our government officially turns us into a global nation. Sells our soul to the devil. We will be a 2 class country. The rich in power and the poor. I think you will see a media flurry of crisis news to keep every ones mind off the upcoming Copenhagen treaty. After all, our government says they control the media, most of it at least. I even wonder if trying the treasonous murderers of our citizens in New York isn't planned to keep our mind off this terrible treaty. I must admit to being surprised when ABC ran something though on the misappropriation of stimulus funds. Aren't they like the white houses private news media?

What happened to real news. AARRGGGGHHHH. And the democrats appointed to office don't care about our taxes being shot through the roof. The latest appointee admits to not paying taxes for the last 2 years. Capricia Marshall admits she hasn't filed in 2 years. Gee.... does it say that in the Protocol guide? Correct me if I am wrong, but don't they put normal people in prison for that? Lets all forget to file our taxes. See how long the IRS looks the other way.

Well I tell you. I miss the days when I used to have a day off and enjoy it in a carefree way. Gone are the days I can trust the running of the government to be in our best interest. Probably it has never been, but never has it been so blatantly against us. Never before has it required a watchful eye like it has now. Never have we let our government have such complete and absolute control over every tiny aspect of our lives. Rent "To Live". See whats coming. And don't be quiet about it. Silence is compliant. Have you called your representative today?

Oh, guess what. Sarah Palin is coming to my town. And you know what. Why aren't the militant feminist supporting her. Oprah fawning all over Obama, don't tell me this was racist on her part, and treating Mrs Palin with disdain. No wonder her show's rating is dropping so fast. This woman is smart, she tells it like it is, she ran her state in the black. She is what the women of the 70's were screaming all of us women should become. Now they are silent? After they have ruined things for women all over the country. Now they shut up. Because you know what. I like a nice strong man. I like a man to open my door. Yes I know I can open it myself. What fun is that? Oprah, meet a real woman of power..

Well, enough of this. My rant today. I refuse to be silent about this. I will fight and stay a member of the angry mob until somebody in Washington listens to us. LISTEN TO US.

After reviewing acknowledgments of God from all 50 state constitutions, one is faced with the prospect that maybe, the ACLU and the out-of-control federal courts are wrong!

So Mr. President, who do you mean by WE. Not I!

Everything is starting to esculate

The drug companies are raising prices faster then ever before. Medicare plans to slash more than $500 billion from future Medicare spending. Hospitals and clinics are raising prices and cutting staff. All in preparation for the bill that hasn't even passed. If we are lucky enough to block the bill, will the prices come down? In the past that hasn't been true. So even just talking about reforming health care has hurt us. And how can you say this bill won't hurt seniors when you think about the cuts they are making to medicare. Seniors won't be covered as well and they won't be able to afford their medication. Thus the death panel.

One of the fastest growing medical fields is medical coding and billing. What insurance companies survive will have to become very inventive in getting your treatment payed for. So that probably explains the huge, and I mean HUGE increase in your medical insurance costs. And they will probably all be in bed with the government like AARP.

I remember as a child I went to Dairy Queen and got a malt. They gave me a malt half the size that it used to. I expected to pay less, makes sense right? No, the price increased and the quality and quantity went down. Maybe a poor analogy but that is when I personally saw this happen. Now it is a wide scale practice. I stopped going to the Dairy Queen and anyplace else where I saw such huge discrepancies.

And on to legal pot. I have my opinion on it. We tried it at the hospital for cancer patients. The majority of them had better luck with legal medication. The people I see that insist on the marijuana are like some people I know. They got a list from the internet on acceptable conditions to use pot legally. They went in and complained of it and got their drug card and legal pot. Both of them smoke all day every day. Then they decided to grow it. And that is OK in the state they live in. But they sell it to supplement their income. Because when your loaded all day your not real motivated to work. And when they travel they travel with their pot, to states that don't have legal mental numbing enforced. And they drive. They have had their car repaired several time.

And personally I am a honest person. When I want a drink or an occasional cigar I say right out. Hey I want a drink. I want to feel the effects of a drink or two. Come on. Just say it. You want to smoke pot because you like it. You want to smoke it just like you want to have a drink. Be honest about it. And don't try to say it won't harm you. It goes into the lungs just like the dreaded and cursed cigarette. They don't even have filters. The smoke is thick and tarry. And it has been enough years that they know the effects of pot smoking on your lungs. Why legalize this just when we are making smoking cigarettes almost a prison offense. Makes no sense. And how come the American Cancer society is being sooooooo quiet about it? Strange to me.

And we don't stand a chance on the streets. Because you say your not going to smoke and drive, but we hear that about booze. Your not going to text and drive? I almost got killed twice this week. And obesity. What do you think will happen when millions of people toke up several times a day. Chips are going to fly off the shelves. I'll take a case of those Twinkies please. Sheesh. Of course it will be job security to me. We will have a whole new generation of lungers to treat. And hundreds of crash victims to make money off of, if they aren't seniors who won't be covered anyway.

Yup it's a brave new world. Maybe that is why they are pushing legalizing it. We have become comfortably numb. And our government can go on turning us into a drugged socialist country and killing off our nonproductive citizens. Oh yeah comrade. I can hardly wait.
