The drug companies are raising prices faster then ever before. Medicare plans to slash more than $500 billion from future Medicare spending. Hospitals and clinics are raising prices and cutting staff. All in preparation for the bill that hasn't even passed. If we are lucky enough to block the bill, will the prices come down? In the past that hasn't been true. So even just talking about reforming health care has hurt us. And how can you say this bill won't hurt seniors when you think about the cuts they are making to medicare. Seniors won't be covered as well and they won't be able to afford their medication. Thus the death panel.
One of the fastest growing medical fields is medical coding and billing. What insurance companies survive will have to become very inventive in getting your treatment payed for. So that probably explains the huge, and I mean HUGE increase in your medical insurance costs. And they will probably all be in bed with the government like AARP.
I remember as a child I went to Dairy Queen and got a malt. They gave me a malt half the size that it used to. I expected to pay less, makes sense right? No, the price increased and the quality and quantity went down. Maybe a poor analogy but that is when I personally saw this happen. Now it is a wide scale practice. I stopped going to the Dairy Queen and anyplace else where I saw such huge discrepancies.

And on to legal pot. I have my opinion on it. We tried it at the hospital for cancer patients. The majority of them had better luck with legal medication. The people I see that insist on the marijuana are like some people I know. They got a list from the internet on acceptable conditions to use pot legally. They went in and complained of it and got their drug card and legal pot. Both of them smoke all day every day. Then they decided to grow it. And that is OK in the state they live in. But they sell it to supplement their income. Because when your loaded all day your not real motivated to work. And when they travel they travel with their pot, to states that don't have legal mental numbing enforced. And they drive. They have had their car repaired several time.

And personally I am a honest person. When I want a drink or an occasional cigar I say right out. Hey I want a drink. I want to feel the effects of a drink or two. Come on. Just say it. You want to smoke pot because you like it. You want to smoke it just like you want to have a drink. Be honest about it. And don't try to say it won't harm you. It goes into the lungs just like the dreaded and cursed cigarette. They don't even have filters. The smoke is thick and tarry. And it has been enough years that they know the effects of pot smoking on your lungs. Why legalize this just when we are making smoking cigarettes almost a prison offense. Makes no sense. And how come the American Cancer society is being sooooooo quiet about it? Strange to me.

And we don't stand a chance on the streets. Because you say your not going to smoke and drive, but we hear that about booze. Your not going to text and drive? I almost got killed twice this week. And obesity. What do you think will happen when millions of people toke up several times a day. Chips are going to fly off the shelves. I'll take a case of those Twinkies please. Sheesh. Of course it will be job security to me. We will have a whole new generation of lungers to treat. And hundreds of crash victims to make money off of, if they aren't seniors who won't be covered anyway.

Yup it's a brave new world. Maybe that is why they are pushing legalizing it. We have become comfortably numb. And our government can go on turning us into a drugged socialist country and killing off our nonproductive citizens. Oh yeah comrade. I can hardly wait.
