Nancy Pelosi and NAMBLA

"That's right. Grandma Pelosi, aka Speaker Nancy Pelosi, accepts campaign funds from an organization that believes it's okay for a man to take sexual advantage of a young boy. I think more Americans need to wake up to realize just how evil Nancy Pelosi really is".

I read this today at Bunglaow Bills and thought about my darling sweet grandson and almost got sick. What is happening? What in the world is happening? And how can she ever accept a penny from a group we should spend our entire lives eliminating. Sick Sick Sick unhuman people like that. May they rest forever in hell.

Subs, Health insurance and the Stimulas money

The Two nuclear-powered Russian attack submarines paroling our eastern state waters probably aren't any reason for concern according to the Pentagon. Gee, they probably heard about the beer party at the White house and have plans to crash it. Hope they have Vodka on hand. Hummmmm. Be not concerned....... be very not concerned.

And now I have another thing that makes me an enemy of the state. First of all I am a conservative Christian woman. And.......... I oppose his health care plan. Yes. It's me! So they have a special number you can call to turn me in. And then what? What happens next. Do I get a tattoo and a free ride to nowhere? Pretty scary. Just think. I was recently just a pleasingly plump happy go lucky woman on the pathway to trying to get fit. Now I am a evil conservative and threat to this great country because I think this health care plan will be the worse thing that ever happened to this country.

And I hear, remember, no propaganda TV in this house, that our wonderful government has taken some of the stimulus money, which was suppose to make jobs for American's wasn't it?, and made a huge expensive TV commercial calling all of the people who oppose the health care plan, (and there are many, I am in good company) complete idiots and a mob who are a bigger threat to our country then, Gasp, Global Warming!

Just how much of this so called stimulus money does he spend on his daily TV show? Inquiring minds want to know. Really..... I would like to know. Since I see no new jobs here. No evidence. Nothing, Nada, Dare I say...... No Change!

What!

What did you just say?

Rick just burst in the house and excitedly told me about what he had found while working on my car. Something about spark plugs and positive and negative plugs, coils that were corroded and ions something or other. ??????????? And I got a 20 minute lecture on positive and negative reactions, excuse me Rick but physics is a hobby of mine, LOL. But it was kind of funny and cute and now I know why his face looks a certain way when I run in telling him about a different shot I took with my camera and how I was using this stop and ISO setting. Men, so cute.

A month to wait

I heard from my shoulder doc today and my surgery was approved by work comp. They said it wouldn't be a problem but I was still not sure. So I am approved. Now the wait. The soonest they can get me in is the 14th of Sept. My birthday. Oh goody. I guess celebrating is out that day. And the bad thing is it won't be until 2 pm. I have to sit all day wishing I had coffee. However. I work the night before. I will get off work at 7:45. So I will just come home and hopefully sleep until noon and then go to the hospital.

Now all the 2nd guessing and doubts will set in until after the surgery. Gee, I have lived with this for 9 months by the time of the surgery . Over 9 months. Maybe I can just live with it forever? Maybe my job won't fire me if I can never lift more then 20 pounds forever? Maybe I haven't given it enough time. Maybe a miracle will happen between now and the surgery and my shoulder will heal itself. Stranger things have happened. I can hope.

I keep reading about how painful the surgery is. I am dreaded that. They haven't exactly been very good about giving me anything for pain so far as it is. I had to cut way back on tylenol because I was taking too much and I won't be able to take any NSAIDS like motrin for 2 weeks before surgery. Right now I rely on both of those to make it through my work week. Anything is better then nothing. And I have been wearing my TEN's unit on my shoulder. So I have a feeling you may be hearing some more whining.

Plus I have another thing to think about. This will fall right after my vacation. Should I still take a vacation or save my money since I will be living on a lot less then normal. I usually have lots of bills in Sept. Maybe we can still take just a small vacation for a week . Just go to the black hills again. It is only a day drive away. My vacation starts in 3 weeks. Gives me enough time to think about it.

Anyway, enough of that. Send strong prayers that my shoulder makes a miraculous recovery.

Work tonight. I am charge again. The last night wasn't bad so hopefully the next 2 days will be good. Last night we didn't do much but I caught up on some sleep. Much needed. Now I will spend the next 3 weeks doing some deep cleaning. Rick will help me get everything sparkling because I think I will be laid up for longer with this then my wrist. I have been talking to a fellow blogger about what to expect after surgery, what I will be able to do and won't be able to do, so that is nice. I like to be prepared. So with that, I had better close. Time to get to work cleaning.

Sunday already

Oh man, work has been brutal this week. This is kind of unusual to be having so many chest pain admits this time of year but they just kept coming in all weekend. Maybe because of the colder weather. Regardless, it kept us hopping.

I was charge the last 2 nights. At night we take a load of patients along with being charge. Works out good most nights but this weekend it was way to much being pulled in way to many directions. Our patients were practicing synchronized chest pain all night so instead of one at a time each hall had a patient with active chest pain. I told the EKG tech to just stick around on our floor but she kept getting paged for ER which was bad as it meant another admit for us.

Now personally I had some really good patients, some the few who weren't having active chest pain last night and that was great since I was busy doing admit orders and all the other things you do when your in charge. The nights have flown by. I am hoping tonight is quieter. I need a get a way.

Since there is a chance I won't be able to go on vacation this year I have been looking as last years and just remembering how beautiful it all was. Such lovely country. Hopefully I will hear from the doc's office and find out what the plans are.

Rick is grilling some pork and making some cookies while I type. Strange combo but works for me, Grin. I like the thought of it. Warm cookies. Yummy. First thing I did when I got up was jump in the pool and exercise. And I am so sore. Ouch. Must have pulled something. My back and shoulder are screaming. After a half hour I climbed out.

Don't you just love the female moose in the shot above? Can you see the baby? Wish I was there right now.

Hummm. If we do get to vacation this year maybe yellowstone again. It was so beautiful.

Or the Tetons. Or anyplace. I want to relax. Will, the dinner is to the part where I have to become an active participant. Take care all.

Why Trampolines aren't Safe in Iowa. ....

Ouch!

Work, boss and a SUV story

Back to work last night. It was quiet which was really good as the computers were down for 5 and a half hours. And I was training a new nurse, actually she is almost off her training so pretty independent, so the the hours actually dragged. But it is nice to have a quiet nice once in awhile.

I told my boss about my surgery. She knew it was coming and laughed when I told her it would be done by a scope. That's what they told my husband she laughed and then let me know it was horribly painful. Gee thanks. Guess she slightly ticked off... but understanding. Now she has to find someone to do charge but she knows I have been pretty miserable.

Sitting here yesterday I heard a strange noise but didn't really think about it. Then I heard a horn blaring. Again I heard it but didn't go investigate. Strangely the sounds of sirens begin to fill the air. OK..... whats going on? Now I am interested.

So I went outside to see another of those terrible SUV's tried to take out its driver accident.
"Assistant Fire Chief said firefighters were called at 12:18 p.m. to the crash involving the SUV and a car. Firefighters cut three doors off the Chevrolet Tahoe, which had rolled on its top, to remove the woman from her vehicle".

Why is it the only time they report it like that is when it is a SUV. Don't believe me? Start watching your headlines. You never hear about a Prius going mad and rolling over on its owner in a ditch. They never report a Honda Civic goes crazy and runs into a group of people. Or blood red 4 door sedan slams into school bus.

And most of the time they don't even tell you anything about the driver in these stories. It is almost like the SUV is unmanned. Evilly idling there, its gas greedy tanks spewing forth carbon emissions like a fire breathing dragon the terrible SUV lies in wait. Who knows who it will set its beady little headlights on next. You! Your family! The..... The...... President. NOOOOOOOOO. Wait.....what am I saying. Yessssssssssss. They all must be turned in and replaced with a smart car,

Or this cute little golf cart I saw the other day. So you would have time to escape.

For your own good.

So we watched them cut the driver out of the SUV, it metal renching screams rolling through the neighborhood as they ripped off its doors and then as 4 policeman, several fireman and 2 wreakers surrounded it so it couldn't anymore damage, they chained it up and drug it away. My knees were weak. It was so close. Right up the hill. Would it have gone after me if I had been out there watering?
