Sunday already

Oh man, work has been brutal this week. This is kind of unusual to be having so many chest pain admits this time of year but they just kept coming in all weekend. Maybe because of the colder weather. Regardless, it kept us hopping.

I was charge the last 2 nights. At night we take a load of patients along with being charge. Works out good most nights but this weekend it was way to much being pulled in way to many directions. Our patients were practicing synchronized chest pain all night so instead of one at a time each hall had a patient with active chest pain. I told the EKG tech to just stick around on our floor but she kept getting paged for ER which was bad as it meant another admit for us.

Now personally I had some really good patients, some the few who weren't having active chest pain last night and that was great since I was busy doing admit orders and all the other things you do when your in charge. The nights have flown by. I am hoping tonight is quieter. I need a get a way.

Since there is a chance I won't be able to go on vacation this year I have been looking as last years and just remembering how beautiful it all was. Such lovely country. Hopefully I will hear from the doc's office and find out what the plans are.

Rick is grilling some pork and making some cookies while I type. Strange combo but works for me, Grin. I like the thought of it. Warm cookies. Yummy. First thing I did when I got up was jump in the pool and exercise. And I am so sore. Ouch. Must have pulled something. My back and shoulder are screaming. After a half hour I climbed out.

Don't you just love the female moose in the shot above? Can you see the baby? Wish I was there right now.

Hummm. If we do get to vacation this year maybe yellowstone again. It was so beautiful.

Or the Tetons. Or anyplace. I want to relax. Will, the dinner is to the part where I have to become an active participant. Take care all.

It sure sounds like you were busy at work!

I've never been to Yellowstone. I hope to get there within the next few years.

Have a good week.

Wow, I love the northwest. The views are so spectacular. It's been a while since I've been out that way and those great pictures make me miss it.

Great photos. Love the Mama and the baby moose photo. Glad you'd went. Sorry that you couldn't go on vacation this year. My folks were at Yellowstone ages ago. Wish I could've gone. Have a good week and hope your back feeling better. Nancy

Sorry you are having difficulty getting a vacation this year we are having the same problems waiting for surgery and doctors appointments. Watched a super documentary series on Yellowstone last winter and it looks such a beautiful place. It was made by the BBC if it comes your way take a look even though you have been lucky to have been there. Love Joan
