Can Cold Water Clean Dishes?
This is for all the germ conscious folks who worry about using cold water to clean.
John went to visit his 90 year old grandfather in a very secluded, rural area of Saskatchewan .


After spending a great evening chatting the night away, The next morning John's grandfather prepared breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast.

However, John noticed a film like substance on his plate, and questioned his grandfather asking,
'Are these plates clean?'
His grandfather replied,
'They're as clean as cold water can get 'em. Just you go ahead and finish your meal, Sonny!'
For lunch the old man made hamburgers. Again, John was concerned about the plates as his appeared to have tiny specks around the edge that looked like dried egg and asked,
'Are you sure these plates are clean?'
Without looking up the old man said,
'I told you before, Sonny, those dishes are as clean as cold water can get them. Now don't you fret, I don't want to hear another word about it!'



Later that afternoon, John was on his way to a nearby town and as he was leaving, his grandfather's dog started to growl, and wouldn't let him pass.
John yelled and said,
'Grandfather, your dog won't let me get to my car'.

Without diverting his attention from the football game he was watching on TV, the old man shouted.
'Coldwater, go lay down now, yah hear me!'

Sick

Feeling pretty crummy today. Fever, sore throat and chest pain when I breath. I am losing my voice. Weird. Bad time to pick up a crud. so bedtime which sounds like the best thing today.

Robins & Sen. Tom Daschle

We saw Robins out all ready, a large flock of them, are they flocks? So spring is around the corner. I am so ready for it. I had a good day today. Ran some errands with Rick and did more then I was up to apparently as I am wasted and had to take my first pain pill of the day. I did get some cute shots of some birds at the feeder though.



Rick is grilling me a steak tonight. It is lovely out. In the 40's. It even smells like spring is on the way. The snow is all melting and our road is a mud slide.

So a question. How come the media made such a huge stink out of Joe the Plumber owing back taxes, but it is just fine for Sen. Tom Daschle to deliberately not pay 128 thousand dollars. And to forget to declare 500 thousand. You know what would happen if I forgot to declare something on my taxes? Look, even the other crooks like Al Capone did time for that but Dashle not only doesn't even get a slap on the wrist, he gets to be appointed to Secretary of Health and Human Services!

Whats with all these crooks getting cabinet posts? They should be in prison. Sigh. And no one seems upset. No one. But Joe the Plumber? Headline news in every little backwater paper in the country. These double standards just tick me off.

Well, enough of things that make me mad. I should buckle down and get ready for the slide. Keep my mouth shut like a good little citizen. And I will, when they stop ticking me off, LOL.

Better

I slept well last night and feel much better, After 2 days of little sleep I needed it. I still ache all over but it is getting better. Guess I'll live.

My therapist said her father had the same reaction to anesthesia. Weird. I wouldn't mind feeling like I had done 4000 sit ups if my flabs of steel actually felt like steel. The same therapist that has been helping me with my shoulder is going to work with me on my hand. Great since I will only have to go to one place.

Wednesday I get the dressing off. Wish it was today as it is bugging me. Tuesday the doc about the cancer. I have gotten over the freaking out about it stage and now just want to get it out and move on. Will it be that simple? Hope so.

My nurse dog has been crowding me so much I almost tripped and fell over her yesterday. Back off Zoey. She loves me.

It is suppose to be nice today. I want to go outside.

pay off stimulus plan

I see the stimulus plan promises to pay off all the groups whose votes they bought, the unions, the gays, the rich, the trial lawyers, themselves.... lets not forget themselves, and the poor. Everyone but the middle class. Nope we're paying. And paying...and paying...............

Moaning And Whining entry # 897

Yup another pitiful me post, LOL. I just had a terrible night. Every single muscle in my body hurts. I wonder if they dropped me? Not really, but it feels like when i first started working out. I have never felt this way after surgery before. I also had a terrible headache. Nothing touched it. Finally I decided it might be lack of coffee so I had a cup and the headache is better.

The pain pill only works about a hour and I find myself watching the clock. Now I know how the patients feel like. Except if I had a patient that only got relief for a hour I would be calling thier doc. I only slept off and on last night. Hopefully it will be better tommorrow.

I am doing pretty good one handed because I haven't been able to use the left for so long anyway. I am wearing a nightgown and socks, nothing to worry about pulling up, LOL

Well, Rick is making me breakfast. I hope the doc calls today to tell me what the growth was but part of me doesn't want to know yet, ya know.

So I'm off to use my heating pad and watch the clock for when I can have a pain pill. I can only take 1 because they make me itch.

Surgery went well. I am waiting now for a pain pill to work as this is proving to be pretty painful plus I have a killer headache. I have my first cast. Partial cast that is. They found a growth in the muscle in my wrist. He removed it and sent it for a biopsy. Hope it is good news.
