Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to min',
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And days of auld lang syne.
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak' a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne. And here's a hand, my trusty fierce,
And gie's a hand o' thine,
And we'll tak' a right guid willie-waught,
For auld lang syne.
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne, We'll tak' a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
And surely ye'll be your pint stowpt,
And surely I'll be mine,
And we'll tak' a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak' a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
-Robert Burns
Now I hope all of you who read this sang along with me as you read the lyrics to the song. I go to work tonight in 2010 and will leave in the morning on a brand New Year. 2011.
Will this be your year? So new and bright with potential. The year you will cherish each day as a gift to be enjoyed, family and friends to be cherished and loved. A new year where anything is possible if you want it bad enough.
And remember...... Just because I am working tonight, it doesn't mean you have to be silly on our slippy and snowy streets and come see me. Take a limo, my son may be driving it and tip well. Happy New Year everyone. Blessings to you all.
