A day at the Fair

Riverssance Festival this year was a blast.    The Carilon player  Frank DellaPenna was so great.  I even bought a CD and I usually don't.  It was that cool.

    The music held you mesmerized.

His theatrics were great.   Then of course we went to the smoker where they passed out cigars,  beer by the gallon and smoked turkey wings that were yummy.   Oh, and rowdy jokes and songs.   It was a good time.

Snake dancers

Pirates

And my friend Garie as the Mudman.   Had to laugh, he's covered with mud but using a napkin to keep the turkey juice off his clothes.

Then we wandered around and looked at the exhibits.

Giant Irish Wolfhounds.

Look at that face

And of course we watched the Jousting.   I love the huge horses.

And of course the knights fight to the end.

So anyway it was a great way to spend the day.   Today we are getting ready for a long bike ride.   I have a turkey leg to work off.

Oh my! You have had a great day out by the look of your photos Julie.
As for children growing up too fast...I agree. My son will be 42 next March and my daughter will be forty next August. I ask myself too.. where did all the years go?
YOur photos gave me a real good flavour of your day. Hope you enjoyed the turkey leg...even though you are now having to work it off at the gym. lol
