Ugh Day

I just couldn't sleep well last night. I had dreams all night about these stupid tests today. First I dreamed that I had the EMG and forgot about the MRI. So I get home and they call me and give me a bad time about forgetting the test and now everything is backed up. Yikes, the test. I get ready to go and all of a sudden I have some old man I am taking care of. Can't leave him home so I load him in the car to haul with me to the hospital. He doesn't want to go so complains loudly about wanting to go back home. Get to the hospital and they won't do the test now. Brother. Well I tell you, that woke me up. And in my dream the EMG was just as miserable as it turned out to be.

I kept waking up and checking the clock. 2:30, 3:30, 4. I am dragging I tell you.

The test really isn't horrible. There are a couple of places, when they stick the needle into your palm and then in the fatty place between the thumb and first finger that are pretty awful. And the place in the upper arm starts out not to bad but they use a stronger current and that gets just darn painful. My muscles on the arm are now sore and I am getting spasms. But what really was difficult was the MRI.
My hair was sticking out all over after the EMG from laying on the cot and then I get to the MRI and find out I have to lay on my stomach with my arm in the air like superman. My bad arm. I was worried about how my shoulder would hold up. Sure wish I had taken that pain pill before this test. And at first it wasn't really bad. But after about 15 minutes my shoulder was sending sharp signals of pain down my arm which in turn was going into spasms which prompted the tech to remind me to lay still. after 40 minutes it was just miserable. When I got out I could barely lift my arm and trying to get dressed again was a challenge. I almost just said heck with the bra but having a light blouse on I decided I didn't want to jiggle my way back to the waiting room.

I seriously just am worn out. And why? It wasn't like it was the worse thing I have ever been through. It just tuckered me out. My arm had a dozen little area's that are tender and my shoulder and wrist have little daggers of pain shooting through them. Pain meds are good things.

My day will be shot. I came home, made the Pico de Gallo I was going to make and now I am going to take a nap. I think I am just sick and tired of tests.

Speaking of hospitals and health care. Did you see one of the Premiers from Canada had to come to the states for his heart surgery. And this is what they want here. So where will we go if they pass this.

Also heard this today. 56% of Democrats and liberals see nothing wrong with socialism. And some idiot woman on the radio thinks we should have a straight pay system. Well excuse me. I put myself through school. Paid off all my loans. Lived on beans and noodles for 2 years. I go to school for continuing education every year. I have been working since I was 12. I deserve my check. I earned it, I worked for it. I have paid the price in body damage by doing the physical part of my job. I do not think I deserve the same as someone who dropped out of high school, spent all their money on frivolous things, rarely works, and charges their credit cards to the max. I am the child of a single mother, I had 2 children under 4 when I went to school. I have half a brain. If I can do, they can do it. And leave my check alone. Money earned by my hard work. Seriously they can't really know the true meaning of socialism to say that.

Well, thats my rant for today. Bedtime for me.

I hate having MRIs. Who can stay still that long any way? LOL

Have a good weekend.

Wow! Well at least the tests are finished and you can rest and recover.

As for the liberals, most of them are younger who grew up wanting for nothing because mommy and daddy paid for it.

Hopefully, their ideas will fall by the wayside. If not, I hope they make it to be senior citizens and see what it's like when the "kids" want to run the show at the seniors' expense.

I have had to lie on a narrow bench in Nuclear scanning for forty minutes a few times after being given a radioactive dye. When you are hanging over both sides of the table and have a bad back or shoulder into the bargain it is nigh on impossible to be comfortable! I feel for you when you had to have all those jabs as well. Thank goodness it is all over for now Julie.

I bet that shoulder was painful in that position. It's almost impossible to lay still when there is so much pain.
Straight Salary is not right. A person deserves to be paid overtime. I remember xhubby worked like that. Long hours with no xtra pay. Just not right.
