Thanks

Thanks for the good wishes on my arm. It is welcome. I am just having a really bad time with it right now and hope it is something they can fix without surgery. I think the swelling is down somewhat today and I am trying ice instead of heat today. Hopefully I will hit on something that will lessen the pain so I can get off the pain medication. I hate the way they make me feel but I hate the pain worse.

We are having a bad ice storm. In front of the house a van got stuck. A truck came to help them, lost control and slammed into the van which still had people in it and one the driver who was out of the van narrowly missed getting his van slammed into him. The trees are all heavy and making cracking noises. Walking is impossible and Rick has been putting salt out and chipping away all day.

Since I am stuck doing not much today I watched a documentary, Food Inc. If you haven't seen I highly suggest you do. Buy local and buy natural. Support your local farmers because they are being taken over and what we are being fed is not good for us. It disgusts me seeing how our meat and produce is being grown. Diabetes has more then tripled since I started nursing. There can only be one reason. So seriously watch the movie.

Scott Brown won. I think it was a win for people not wanting this health bill shoved down our throat. But I have said this before. We need to do something about our escalating costs of health care. We have to fix the system but we can do it state by state. Not with the government. That is not their job.

Make sure the people you elect know they are elected by you do what you want, not what special interest groups want. Simple as that.

They just passed a law against feeding the wildlife in Iowa. They are afraid of the cattle getting TB from the deer. I do understand that. It will be hard keeping them out of my bird feeders though. And I can't help but thinking about all God's creatures.

Well, one handing again takes me forever. Indigo, you know what I mean, LOL. It has helped my typo's I think though. So until later.

I hope you arm and wrist will respond to the ice treatments and soon gets lots better. That is a shame about stopping feeding the wild life. More that likely the diseases are coming from the cattle themselves who eat all that hormone feed with other ingredients they put in it. It's hard to stand by and watch the wildlife die when it is winter and all their food is covered in snow. If they die looks like that would cause diseases to me. Helen
