Work was brutal last night. What was worse? Getting off at 0845 and having to go outside where the temp was -27. That was without the windchill. Burrrrrr. Thin nursing pants on cold leather seats. Even the heated seats had trouble with temps that cold.
We are still fighting the ice dams on our roofs. Today Rick is getting some salt blocks shaped like hockey pucks to throw on the roof. The first year we moved here we had ice build up like that and it seeps under the roofing and melts destroying your ceilings. We used the roof shovel but this stuff builds up so fast it is hard to keep up with.
Anyway, I am tired beyond belief and ready to snuggle under my new comforter. Next week they say we are having a heat wave, temps in the 30's. And Zoey is almost back to her cute ole self. Barely limping at all. You all know how happy that makes me.. Very!

I am going to call Al Gore to get a credit for my carbon credits!
Burrr, that makes me cold just reading about it. I bet those leather seats were cold with those thin pants. I hope Rick can find those salt thingys. Those ice sickles are something else. Helen
I'm seeing the most horrendous temps in the mid west. Keep warm if you can!
I'm getting chills just reading your entry... I get cold when it's 50 degrees outside! Stay warm--- Julie :)

What a freezing start to the new year for you, I really couldn't cope with that! I'm hoping soon that your snow will finish and melt quickly leaving your roof intact. Stay warm and happy new year! Jeannette xx
The pictures of that ice is amazing. It's cold here, but thank goodness it's not that cold!
We had minus ten this morning. Nothing like your temps..thank the Lord! Sorry to read that your shoulder and wrist are giving you pain. I truly feel for you! I just do not know how you cope with work Julie.
