Work, boss and a SUV story

Back to work last night. It was quiet which was really good as the computers were down for 5 and a half hours. And I was training a new nurse, actually she is almost off her training so pretty independent, so the the hours actually dragged. But it is nice to have a quiet nice once in awhile.

I told my boss about my surgery. She knew it was coming and laughed when I told her it would be done by a scope. That's what they told my husband she laughed and then let me know it was horribly painful. Gee thanks. Guess she slightly ticked off... but understanding. Now she has to find someone to do charge but she knows I have been pretty miserable.

Sitting here yesterday I heard a strange noise but didn't really think about it. Then I heard a horn blaring. Again I heard it but didn't go investigate. Strangely the sounds of sirens begin to fill the air. OK..... whats going on? Now I am interested.

So I went outside to see another of those terrible SUV's tried to take out its driver accident.
"Assistant Fire Chief said firefighters were called at 12:18 p.m. to the crash involving the SUV and a car. Firefighters cut three doors off the Chevrolet Tahoe, which had rolled on its top, to remove the woman from her vehicle".

Why is it the only time they report it like that is when it is a SUV. Don't believe me? Start watching your headlines. You never hear about a Prius going mad and rolling over on its owner in a ditch. They never report a Honda Civic goes crazy and runs into a group of people. Or blood red 4 door sedan slams into school bus.

And most of the time they don't even tell you anything about the driver in these stories. It is almost like the SUV is unmanned. Evilly idling there, its gas greedy tanks spewing forth carbon emissions like a fire breathing dragon the terrible SUV lies in wait. Who knows who it will set its beady little headlights on next. You! Your family! The..... The...... President. NOOOOOOOOO. Wait.....what am I saying. Yessssssssssss. They all must be turned in and replaced with a smart car,

Or this cute little golf cart I saw the other day. So you would have time to escape.

For your own good.

So we watched them cut the driver out of the SUV, it metal renching screams rolling through the neighborhood as they ripped off its doors and then as 4 policeman, several fireman and 2 wreakers surrounded it so it couldn't anymore damage, they chained it up and drug it away. My knees were weak. It was so close. Right up the hill. Would it have gone after me if I had been out there watering?

The SUV wrecks are usually more spectacular and the local news media chase those wrecks like attorneys chase ambulances.

My niece got one of the smart cars, she said it gets great gas mileage. But I don't want to ride in it, that is if I could even get in it. LOL

I will never drive one of those tiny smart cars!! I'll stick to my SUV with lots of metal to keep me from being smased like a pancake! LOL

Hi Julie, don't know how I deleted my comment earlier, but here it is again...

There certainly won't be any catastrophic crashes in those smart cars.....All you'll hear is just a "Ping" when something it's you and you'll find yourself smashed and wrapped in a thin metal foil with glass glitter, (that used to be the car)all over you. Skip
