To the blizzard missing us for the most part. We have snow, we have blowing but we have warmer weather and only about 1/2 inch on the ground. Could have been worse.
I have a pot roast in the slow cooker, the house is quiet as everyone but Rick is gone and I am resting. I am out of practice at having children around. It is exhausting. I am getting really good at Candy Land though.
Rick is ill today. Not the stomach flu I had but a resp crud. Gee, no offense Rick but I hope I don't catch that next. I need to stay healthy and at work. I have missed more then my share this year. I will be canned if I can't stay well.
The news has been so terrible lately I don't even want to read it. Why are humans so awful to each other? It is beyond my understanding. I wish at times the news wouldn't even report it, would people not do it if they thought they wouldn't get their 15 sec of fame. And what a thing to be know for. How little regard for human lives has some people.
Well, not much has been going on. Cleaning, cooking, more cleaning and then more cooking. Such is life. Oh, I got my watch, he found it. Still had the gall to charge me. Considering all the clocks he knows I own you would think he would be thinking about that. But he is a good clock man. Just slow. And no one else has gotten the stomach flu which really makes me think it was food poisoning. Darn salads, and I just love them.
Well, time to read while its quiet. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Hi Julie, I sort of got lost somewhere and have found my way back. You were expecting a blizzard...grrr. Glad it missed you. I take it your grandchildren are visiting. I'm going to back track here and try to catch up. Life is bad...3 policeman were killed in a domestic dispute in Pittsburgh yesterday. Ugh, just horrific....
I never tried a pot roast in my crock pot. I may have to try that next. I think you were the one that asked me for my cream cheese pie recipe but I am not sure. Getting Old. LOL I know I was watching the news today and it seems like so many killings in the past few days. I had to turn it off. We are expecting snow tonight and tomorrow. I need my spring. Have a wonderful week.
Love the picture!! I don't watch the news but maybe once a week.. or read what's on Yahoo or AOL.. I can't handle the sadness and all the meanness... but I totally understand that people are having trouble and it's hard right now... take care and have a great week.

I have a roast cooking overnight in my crock pot LOL. I will put the veggies in today.
I hope Rick feels better soon. I am not used to kids here either.
