With the exception of one truly trying patient I had some real sweeties last night. The one not so sweet went AMA ( against medical advice), this morning. Didn't get what he wanted at our hospital and is going to try another one, LOL. Seems like he tries them all coast to coast. Watch out Pam or Julie, might be heading your way.
I have been trying really hard not to use my arm and everyone is really helping me out but the shoulder is so much worse. I have this terrible burning down my arm all of a sudden and it feels like my muscle in my shoulder blade is all bunched up. The pain is really getting difficult to deal with. Why it is getting so much worse I have no idea. Obviously I am not happy about it.
I have ice on right now while I am typing and took a pain pill I have from my facial surgery. Since that wasn't very painful I decided the pain pills might be more needed when I returned to work and they are.
My wrist though is holding up very well. I am so glad that pain is gone. Wish the shoulder pain was gone. Oh to be pain free for just one day. It would be like a picnic. Maybe those days are gone.
Of course now that I am back to work the weather is just beautiful and suppose to be in the 70's soon. Spring is coming for sure. Most of the snow has melted once again.
Well, this is it for now. Even this is bothering the shoulder from ..... well you know. I hope this is as bad as it gets. It can't get any worse right. Right?

I don't want anyone who is ill to feel neglected or like they have received poor medical care, but those patients that go from facility to facility like they are trying out Baskin Robbins flavors are hysterical. I don't get it, and actually, by not continuing with any one place or plan of actiion, they are harming themselves.
Ha. The weather would be better just as you put yourself back on the work schedule. Bike riding soon?(heal first) ~Mary
How lovely to read that you are back at work again Julie. It's about time you had some good weather too, even if you have to work on those lovely sunny days.
I really feel for you as to your shoulder pain. My frozen shoulder pain is creeping up on me again. I dread if it gives me a full scale attack. I don't know how you are able to put up with such pain and go to work. Please God that you get a bit of peace from it soon. Take care at work...it's easy to overdo it and set it all off again.
Keeping you in my prayers.
Hugs

I am so sorry that shoulder is giving you so much trouble Julie. I am surprised it is not making that wrist hurt. Mine ran down my arm to my finders where I couldn't use part of tthem. Must be which nerves are involved. It's been raining here the last two days and cooler. Helen
I'm glad the people you work with are being helpful for you. That's always a plus!
Enjoy your evening and I hope nothing hurts. Not your face, shoulder or wrist!!
So happy people you work with are helping you out in this time of need. That's sweet. Hope the ice helps....and today will be a better day...many hugs and love,
Joyce
I'm sorry the pain isn't easing off although it's early days yet. Have you tried putting the arm in a sling to immobilise it? Maybe you don't realise all that you're doing with it, it's easy to do! We had a good warm day here too, the daffodils and forsythia are blooming, it must be spring! Jeannette xx
