I have been thinking a lot lately about past funs and peaceful moments. Like standing on this shore with Rick drinking in the beauty and smells. Peaceful fun moments.
For years I meditated twice a day and it really helps to keep me calm and centered. I am not sure why I haven't been doing it as much but I need to get back to doing it. Even 5 minutes can help to center me and clear my thoughts about things I need to do. I can tackle problems and find the solutions easier, it just really helps me. Lately it seems so many things are tumbling around that my thoughts are all going in a million directions. Worry about Rick, my son's divorce, the economy, our government, my health. Just a junk drawer of mess in my head. So........
Back to meditating again. I work on relaxing my spasming muscles and achy joints. Clear my thought, settle my stomach. After 2 days I think I can feel a difference. If not my body yet my cluttered mind seems clearer. Able to focus.
I was thrown by a loop with Rick. He is always so strong and healthy. And stubborn. I let denial allow me to be convinced by him that he was indeed fine. But actually he has been having some problems for about a year. I push them in the back of my head but there are there. Time to focus and stop telling myself its nothing. Because I want him in my life for a lot more years. I want to stand on that shore again with him. And many other shores. For a long time.
So I am relaxing today. I did my exercises for my shoulder today and some more deep cleaning on the house. It is going to look great by the time I have my surgery. We got 3 more inches of snow and if it wasn't so overcast I would go out and do some shooting but it just looks so dull, think I will stay in and read.
I gave up on my fluid pills. They just give me to many charlie horses. Now I am drinking a glass of warm water with lemon juice a day plus some tea off and on. Seems to be doing a good job so far and no charlie horses. I might get a full nights sleep yet some day. And I am finally getting to everyone journals.
I would like to thank you all again for the prayers. They envelope us in a glow.

I'm sure you'll get to that lake again with Rick. I gave up on my fluid pills, I don't feel I need them. I drink a lot of water and don't seem to retain much, I'm always running for the loo! Good luck with getting back to your meditating. Jeannette xx
I have been away from reading the journals for a few days, so I didn't know about Rick. I sure hope you and he are both much better soon. You will both be in my prayers.
Best Wishes,
Frances
Thank you for your prayers and kind words. I will also say a prayer for Rick (my first time to your blog so I'm not sure if it's your hubby or significant other, but it either case I do hope the tests come back with good news).
xoxo, Heather
That lake is a pretty place to walk with Rick. I pray that his test show exactly what is wrong with him and that he can be treated as he should for the problem. Helen
Hi Jilie, hope Rick is getting better.
Love your picture. How did you do the frame?
Dear Julie
I was upset to read about Rick's stroke. I know you will be at high doh yourself worrying about his MRI scan and the blood thinning drug they are trying to give him. What an awful worrying time you are going through. I am not surprised your house is sparkling clean either as I always set too indoors when I am worried.
My prayers are with you both. I hope all goes well with Rick and you too for your operation.
Sheesh! You could have had a better start to the New Year than this...but don't despair. Keep on nagging that husband of yours and make him keep his appointments. They all think they are invulnerable. I have one just like him at home too.
Prayers and thoughts are with you both.
Take care
Love

Hope Rick is fine and will continue to be. I suffer with charley horses too and have no idea why... :)
Thank you Julie for sendingme the link. Piknik is really cool I have saved it.
Sounded like relaxing times with Rick...trying to unclutter my mind too...hope your evening is a good one...hugs and love,
Joyce
I am getting back into meditating myself ... it does make such a difference. Sorry to hear about Rick's back pain. My hubby suffers from major back paipn as well. They want to do surgery on it but he always refuses. It's the major reason why he's collecting disability. Sending many prayers your way honey. Luv ya.
Sitting by a beautiful lake like that, I'm sure that you and Rick will continue to be strong and healthy.
Jimmy
I'm hoping you can find a new doctor that will suit both you and Rick. Sometimes, we get so caught up with our lives, etc. that we fail to see the nose on our face. Hope that you can get back into relaxing and meditation. That lake sure is gorgeous!
