Fog

Well, I got a new camera and we had a heat wave up in the 40's which turned into a very soupy fog. It was so bad going home was actually dangerous as you couldn't see 2 car lengths ahead of you. So I didn't use my new lens. Just wasn't right for the conditions. But I did get some fog shots.

As you can see about 8 inches melted and fishermen right and left turned out to ice fish in the warm weather. You can just see him through the fog.

The visibility wasn't too bad in the park but wow..... when we hit the highway.

Poor lonely playground equipment.

It has warmed up to about 53 degrees right now. At about 4pm we were hit with dense fog. We also have some major flood warnings. I think we have had all the 4 seasons in the last 2 weeks. It has been some crazy weather. Have a great weekend.

Good morning Julie from my at the moment fog clear world. Fog is the order of the day around here in the winter and most especially in January. Your photos are so reflective of the truth of fog and its danger potential. I especially liked the lonely snow-covered playground.

It was 66 here today, unbelievably. The fog yesterday and last night off of the snow was bad but not like yours. I think I forgot to comment after I read your entry and saw your camera and lenses. They are impressive. My ex is into photography and has almost a suitcase size thing full of lens, filter, etc. Enjoy the thaw while it's here...

great photos - I was just about to come and say that this is a better template than your photo-blog as the photos and text stand out - then the music started. I do wish people wouldn't put automatic-playing music on their blogs - I don't mind turning music ON but having it come on automatically is disturbing. Sorry if my first comments here sound grumpy and nit-picking. If I didn't otherwise like the content I wouldn't have said anything.
best wishes for the new year.

I'm sorry the fog was so bad and made driving difficult. I rememebr driving here once, the fog was so bad we couldn't see to the end of the car hood!We had to open the doors and use the kerb as our guide! Your photos turned out beautifully, it looks very bleak and eerie! Jeannette xx
