The week is flying by

Just to clarify my last post. It is not that I think a woman would be better at the job. Personally I think most politicians are as crooked as the road above. I just think might as well give a woman the same chance to screw us over as a man, right!

I can't believe it is Sunday already. Tomorrow I get my EMG study or Electromyography and nerve study test. They stick needles into your arm and run a electrical current in it to check for nerve function. Well I tell you, it makes me nervous. It isn't comfortable at all and I am not looking forward to it. I have had them before when they did my last hand and when they thought I had a stroke. Since I have nerve damage from when my disc's in my neck rubtured my muscles tend to spasm and this brings that on. It can be painful. All this to get a cyst and tendon repaired.

When I had it the first time they told me I had carpel tunnel in both hands with my left being worse. Rick was with me and we both heard it. Now all of a sudden they tell me the test didn't show the carpel tunnel in this hand. Say what! That is why they want to repeat it. Not only did they tell me it was in both hands back then they said my left was quite abit worse. So what happened to that record. We both just shake our heads. So I have to repeat this miserable test again. sigh.

I am hoping I can have the surgery before december is over but at the rate this is taking it probably won't happen. I had my appointment for 3 months and then they called 3 days before the appointment to tell me they couldn't do it until I had this test and rescheduled me for next month. Why did they wait so long to tell me this?

Anyway I have to be there very early in the morning. Let the torture begin.

We have a sunny bright cold day out. I want to grab my camera and see if there is anything worth getting a picture of. It already looks bleak out. The snow is gone though for now.

The comedy show was great. My friend had a great showing and it was very funny. I needed a laugh. You can probably tell my mood has been dark. I usually get out of these fairly quickly but it is hanging on. Hang in there with me. I usually can get things turned around and cope better. Maybe it is winter blues. No more bike rides, bulky clothes, dark grey skys. When I work my 12 this time of year I see the sun very little.

Thanksgiving. We are cooking it at my son's house. On the old stove of my MIL's.

It will be strange to have the meal there. Tradition, but not with her gone. Since my BIL is still hanging around I am caught in the moral delema of whether to invite him or not. We are his only family but I really do not want to ruin my day with his presence. We don't see him unless he want somethings. What is with that? The only time I hear from family is when they want something. I am always good for a handout it seems. I must have sucker tattoed on my forehead. Get their money and I don't hear from anyone again until the next time. We were close as children but not at all now. The distance might have something to do with it. I am much closer to my friends then family.

Well, I want to do some housekeeping. Actually I don't really want to but the house needs it. And some Christmas shopping. Then figure out something to eat for supper. I want pork cutlets with sauerkrat and apples. Good German food I grew up with to warm my soul. Always reminds me of my mommie

The snow is gently beginning to fall here. My plate has been full and overflowing with more than I want to deal with lately. I love the holidays, yet at the moment can't wait for them to be over so I can finally relax and find some semblance of normal. I think your MIL will be there in spirit. As for your BIL, something tells me he would rather spend the holiday in the bar. (Hugs)Indigo

Hoping your BIL carries out Indigo's idea. You certainly don't need that mess. I just love your MIL's stove. It's priceless. Have to agree about policitians all screwing us.

Ugh to the EMG. Hope it goes quickly.

The older I get, the less I like the cold and winter months. I wish I could be a snowbird.

How sad about BIL...his own fault, yes, but still. Maybe if you do invite him, he'll behave. Can you tell him he can only come if he's not drinking? That would probaby make him mad. For you and your family, it's a no win situation, isn't it?
By now the nerve test must be over. I hope it wasn't too bad and that all turns out well. (I think the woman in question in this election was a far better choice, but you already knew that.)

That is so strange they told you one thing about the test and now you are wise to redo the test...please keep us posted on the outcome. Sounds like something I will soon have to have done. Love the old stove...wow...so cool...bet that is going to be one awesome meal.
Hugs and love,
Joyce
