Shheessshhhhhh

So I was at work last night and one of my co-workers who knows I didn't want Obama comes up and starts to tell me a racist joke. Wait I said with my hand out. I do no appreciate those types of joke ever. But you didn't vote for Obama he said. For heavens sake. It is NOT ABOUT HIS RACE. Another person who voted for the wrong reasons. Makes me sad. Seriously he could be purple, that is not the reason we vote, for either person running.

So that got me in a hissy mood the rest of the night. I just get so I can go a few hours and not think about anything political and that happens and I get mad all over.

You know everyone is entitled to their opinion, I know that. I don't talk politics at work unless it is being discussed and then I do give my opinion you can bet. But some things, like racist behavior always surprises me. I just don't hear this type of talk much, surround myself by all the right people I guess, so I was surprised. And sad. So here is someone who is agains't the man I voted against, but for the wrong reasons also.

DID anyone vote for the right reasons!

Anyway, onward. We had a lovely wet snow this morning. Looking out from the windows over the city during the night, the snow softly snowing and iluminated against the streetlights was so lovely. I love walking in a wet snowfall. But couldn't do that being I was at work. I had such great patients and really liked them. It was a good night.

Yesterday however we got some bad news. Read the news and checked out the obits and Ricks relative had passed away. We didn't find out until after the service. So sad. There were elderly and we didn't see them often but always enjoyed visiting with them so Rick was pretty sad. We are sending off our card today.

I believe in Karma, what goes around comes around. Birth to the full circle of death. Still it does throw you.

Well Rick is making us Creole for supper, yummy. Then work tonight. Here's hoping for 2 in a row.

While I think it is AWESOME that this country has come so far as to elect an African American President, and while I DID vote for Obama....I did NOT vote for him based on the color of his skin. I voted for him because I was voting for HOPE....and CHANGE...and I followed my heart. If everyone votes with their HEART, I think we will find the world a better place!

((hugs))

Sorry to hear about the death in Rick's family.... You know how I feel about Obama and it's surely not about color. I still hope I'm WRONG about his background and what he secretly stands for. If not....we're all in trouble!! Skip

hugs to rick for the loss of a beloved family member. while i think a lot of people voted for right reasons, too many voted with no conviction behind their vote and for all the wrong reasons. obama wasn't my choice, and it had nothing to do with the color of his skin, but i will hope and pray that he will bring about some positive changes for america.

Everyone was suckered into
"vote for a change" but not all change is good.

A lot of people are going to regret voting Obama into office within 2 years. Just watch!

Hope you have a good weekend.

I didn't vote for Obama. All I can do is hope that he does his best and makes some good decisions for this country. I don't hear many racist things either.
Sorry about Rick losing his relative. Give him a hug for me, ok?
Have a good night.

It still amazes me at how people make their decisions on who to vote for. I've been hearing some racial jokes on the radio which suprises me. Must have been a shock to have a co-worker just assume that you would be open to one.
