Isn't this the day we are suppose to learn how to transfer our old journals over here? Has anyone gotten a update on that? I checked and haven't heard a thing.
I guess I am resigned to the loss at this point. I would love to save my photo journal though and my vacation journal.
It is a cold and wet day in Iowa today. The smell of fall is heavy in the air and I am wearing a sweater. Too soon. I am not ready yet. I hate getting out the coats and putting my crocs away for the winter. And I am thinking it will be a cool winter. I feel it in my bones, literally.
Couldn't sleep last night. Now when I go to bed I like to lay my head down and be sleeping almost at the same time. Not last night. I laid there trying to go to sleep. Usually when that happens I have lots of things on my mind. Troubling things.
Well I do have lots on my mind right now, troubling things, and the way the world is going right now that is understandable. And personal family issues are in the background. They have a way of working there way out of the background to the foreground when your trying to sleep. But actually last night I don't remember dwelling on any of those things. Just couldn't get comfortable.
I tried sleeping on my stomach. Used to always sleep on my stomach but my big toe kept getting a charlie. Turned to my side, my hips hurt. back, yup back hurts also. Got out of bed, took a sleeping pill and a couple of tylenol. Back to bed and read for awhile. Sigh. Got up and watched a movie on my laptop from Netflix. And finally around 3 am I fell asleep.
I am thinking it is the steroids for asthma. I only have to be on them 2 more weeks. Next week I decrease the dose. It has done its trick. I am breathing well finally. That nagging cough if gone, my chest pain is gone. My wheezing is gone. Just can't sleep. Sigh.
Ok, another question. When I post a picture or graphic it always ends up on the top. I can't insert it where I want. Am I doing something wrong or is that the way of this blog. It is a pain having to drag it in place from the top of the post.
So enough of this rambling post. I think I will have Rick make pancakes for breakfast. We are going to Omaha today to just wander around. See ya all later. Oh and did you see I figured out the feed thingy. Sign up please.

Nothing heard yet. Guido will be back sometime tomorrow. He is usually good at finding out what is going on. He did say it would be something between the 7th and the 9th but we do have until the end of the month. I think if we all try to migrate at once, it will cause problems.

Hi Julia! You know, I just learned how to edit and move pictures around. I was having a heck of time trying to do it last night. You go to customize settings, and you have to drag the picture around-once you drag it to the place you want, you'll notice a new white box open up.. It's kind of tricky. I'm still not done with my blog. I haven't heard anything about the transfer yet. :( Julie P.S. Beautiful pictures!
I haven't heard anything about it yet. We'll probably all know something the day before they close up AOL. Everyone will be scrambling to save all their stuff which will cause an overload & ew will still lose all our stuff.
I'm absolutely in love with that picture of the barn. I had thought I had my journal saved to disk....apparently the save didn't take or something. When I deleted my journal, whatever was on the disk was toast. So onward we go, another chapter, another day. (Hugs)Indigo

great pictures... I've heard nothing about the transfer and if you save make sure you keep it on your hard drive.. not sure that will keep it either but I know moving onto disc or an external drive doesn't.
I think we were only supposed to hear about the transfer today but not to be. I can't see this will go off smoothly. I never sleep well unless I'm so tired I'm ready to fall over. Love your picture!
so that's how you got your pictures throughout your entry!! there is so much i haven't figured out yet but i think i'm going to like it here. i was just reading martha's "just visiting" and Dusty Pages and Dusty Pages on Blogger has figured out some ways to save your journal...ya might want to check it out. love your pix here...they are all great!
Hey girlfriend, love the photo! so far when i upload a photo while making a post, it plants itself and stays except when i start typing around it i haven't even tried dragging it yet. don't know any other way at the moment, but i'll try it out. as far as i know this is just the way this blog posts!-ugh!~kbear
Nope, have not seen or heard a thing..wish we could save it all. I know what you mean about trouble sleeping..been there, having the same issues. Hope you can get some good rest soon...oh...Loved all your photos in this entry...besutiful!

Just to let you know I just moved my AOL journal over :) it went pretty well a few probs but everything is here on blogger and I deleted the AOL version :)
