The little skin cancer that could

Come back that is,  bummer.    I am not sure but I have a pretty angry looking pimple on my nose.    And since I am slightly past the pimple age,  slightly,  and since my doc told me I had one laying there dormant I have a pretty good idea what it is.

So far I have just been watching it for the last couple weeks.   Willing it to go away.   Be gone you angry ole icky bump you.   Shoooooo .    It is ignoring me.   If by Monday it is still showing it's ugly face then I have to break down and go see my doc.   And face the probability that he will want to cut a chunk out of my cute nose.

I have always had a cute nose.   Age hasn't changed that.   My one really cute feature.   So I am bummed about this.   But I have decided that the plastic surgeon I saw to get the one off of my face 2 years ago did such a great job I will go back to her.   If it hasn't vanished by next Monday.

Just 2 and a half weeks ago I saw my skin doctor and he said I could start going yearly since I had survived 2 years without a recurrence.    And bam, a couple of days later this thing shows up.

So I am probably nervous about nothing.   Tomorrow when I get off work and look in the mirror it will be gone.   Cross you fingers and say a little prayer for me OK.   Because I like my nose.   I don't like the way Michael Jackson had his done.

Spring is here

Spring is here and the turkey's are definitely in the mood.    I went in the backyard today and there were 17 of them showing off their feathers.

They are so ugly and beautiful at the same time.

Since I had just fed the birds they were very close and not at all scared of us measly humans which they view as a consistent food source.

Their feathers are magnificent.

And it is fun playing with the photos

They are a pest and we are getting so many of them.   But I hear they eat ticks,  its a good thing, and spiders.  Yippy.

Urgent..........Must see

Are you paying attention.   Are you ready for whats coming.   If this was a threat from another country we would be arresting them.   This is from the country that bred them.   Watch this and be prepared.   Don't let it happen.   Please,  don't sit there and let this happen.   Read this here.   The Blaze.

Saturday

It's early in the morning and I am sipping coffee and thinking about hitting the shower.   For the next 2 days I will be staying at my son's watching the kids while he goes out of town for a family emergency of his fiance's     We decided staying there would be better for the kids so they have all their toys and can sleep in their own beds.   Rick will stay here with the furry critters.

The kids are fun but a 5 year old can really wear you out.   I need the exercise though as I have not been working out lately as I have to let my wrist heal.   But the weather is nice out finally.  I had been planning some bike riding.   Plenty of time for that.

My son still has not found work.  I am getting nervous that the lot will be forced to move in here.   I wish my house was slightly larger.   But after what happened in Japan I am just glad I have a home.

I am still so shocked at what they must be going through over there.   The magnitude of the disaster is almost beyond comprehension.   And the respect I feel for the way the people are handling it is raising daily.   No looting,  no riots,  no murders.   The people seem to be showing the way to make the best out of the most horrific situation.    No Katrina type mob violence.   Many lessons will be learned from this tragedy.    I have very little to complain about in the face of this,  everything seems trivial.

Last night I had the dog out and a cat came running up to us.    We put Zoey on the short leash and I went to pet the cat.   It seems distressed and petting it I could feel every bone.  Poor thing.   I keep cat food around as we get strays every once in awhile.   We must have soft touch written on our house because all the strays find their way here.  And for this kitty to risk coming up when we had a big dog,  anyway.   I gave it a big meal and some water.  I am glad the nights are nicer.    We haven't had as many cat strays as we used to get.  I hope it is well.

Well, time to hit the shower and be on my way.  Lord give me the strength to keep up with active kids and personally,  I am going to have a blast.  Hope everyone has a great weekend.

How to Start a Fight

  HOW TO START A FIGHT
One year, I decided to buy my mother-in-law a cemetery plot as a Christmas gift...
The next year, I didn't buy her a gift.
When she asked me why, I replied,
"Well, you still haven't used the gift I bought you last year!"
And that's how the fight started.....

I took my wife to a restaurant.
The waiter, for some reason, took my order first.
"I'll have the rump steak, rare, please."
He said, "Aren't you worried about the mad cow?"
"Nah, she can order for herself."
And that's when the fight started.....

My wife and I were sitting at a table at her high school reunion, and she
kept staring at a drunken man swigging his drink as he sat alone at a nearby table.
I asked her, "Do you know him?"
"Yes", she sighed,
"He's my old boyfriend.... I understand he took to drinking right after we
split up those many years ago, and I hear he hasn't been sober since."
"My God!" I said, "Who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?"
  And then the fight started...

When our lawn mower broke and wouldn't run, my wife kept hinting to me
that I should get it fixed.  But, somehow I always had something else to take
care of first, the shed, the boat, making beer.. Always something more
important to me. Finally she thought of a clever way to make her point.
When I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall grass, busily
snipping away with a tiny pair of sewing scissors. I watched silently for
a short time and then went into the house.. I was gone only a minute, and
when I came out again I handed her a toothbrush. I said, "When you finish
cutting the grass, you might as well sweep the driveway."
The doctors say I will walk again, but I will always have a limp.

My wife sat down next to me as I was flipping channels.
She asked, "What's on TV?"
 I said, "Dust."
  And then the fight started...

HOW TO START A FIGHT
Saturday morning I got up early, quietly dressed, made my lunch, and
slipped quietly into the garage. I hooked up the boat up to the  van, and
proceeded to back out into a torrential downpour. The wind was blowing
50 mph, so I   pulled back into the garage, turned on the radio, and discovered that the
weather would be bad all day. I went back into the house, quietly
undressed, and slipped back into bed.. I cuddled up to my wife's back, now with a
different anticipation, and whispered, "The weather out there is terrible."
My loving wife of 5 years replied, "And, can you believe my stupid husband
  is out fishing in that?"
And that's how the fight started...

My wife was hinting about what she wanted for our upcoming anniversary.
She said, "I want something shiny that goes from 0 to 150 in about 3 seconds."
I bought her a bathroom scale.
  And then the fight started......

 HOW TO START A FIGHT
After retiring, I went to the Social Security office to apply for Social Security.
The woman behind the counter asked me for my driver's License to verify my age.
I looked in my pockets and realized I had left my wallet at home.
I told the woman that I was very sorry, but I would have to go home
 and come back later.
The woman said, 'Unbutton your shirt'.
So I opened my shirt revealing my curly silver hair.
She said, 'That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me' and she
 processed my Social Security application..
When I got home, I excitedly told my wife about my experience at the
 Social Security office...
She said, 'You should have dropped your pants. You might have gotten
   disability, too.'
  And then the fight started...

My wife was standing nude, looking in the bedroom mirror.
She was not happy with what she saw and said to me,
"I feel horrible; I look old, fat and ugly.
I really need you to pay me a compliment.'
I replied, "Your eyesight's damn near perfect."
And then the fight started........
