The Crud, Day 4

Yesterday, after calling in for the 3rd day, Rick mentioned I didn't feel hot. Which of course made me hot. Did he doubt my ability to go to work just because by day 3 I didn't have a head hot enough to fry an egg? So...... I shared it with him. Today he is at day 1. Day 3 I will test his head and remark how good he looks, well even. Don't get me mad when I don't feel good.

I did drag myself to work today. Feeling better at first I altered between waves of nausea, new today, and the sweats. But this mind numbing fatigue. Oh, and did I mention I have a headache. I do. On just one side of my head. Throbs. And my shoulder? Stiff and sore.

Is this the swine flu? H1N1? Who knows, who cares. To me it just the end of summer. The end of feeling good, healthy. The beginning of a long winter.

I pop my C and Zinc. Drink my black tea and snuggle down in my robe. Brush my cool hand over Ricks fevered one. A twinge of guilt. Just a little one though. We do share everything.

Wonderful site for mothers

This site is called As a Mom. Great site. Check it out. It is based on the 9 principles.

The Nine Principles
1. America is good.
2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.
3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.
4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.
5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.
6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

Flu time

At least in Iowa we wish it was harvest time. Record rains this fall has got many farmers way behind in getting their harvest in. We need some drying days. Thanks Sugar for the lovely tag.

Well I have been sick for the last 4 days. I am not saying the H1N1 virus because I never went to the doc and I didn't have all the symptoms but...... I have definitely felt better. But I think I am on the downside today. Hopefully. Every time my temp breaks I think it will be for the last time but it keeps coming back. With all the body aches and headache that go with it. So I decided I needed some flowers to make me feel better.

Rick bought me a lovely perfect white rose. I haven't taken a photo but trust me, its perfect. And he has been making me some good meals. I probably wouldn't eat at all if he wasn't here as I really have no desire but it does taste good when I eat.

I loved the flowers above. They are a type of sunflower. All the petals fell off but the remaining center still looks so pretty. Definitely a fall flower.

It is amazing how the littlest thing wears me out. My 4 showers a day, since I keep breaking my temp briefly and getting all sweaty. I vacuumed today and then doing this post. Sounds like time for a nap again. I need to get better. I sure can't afford to missing work. But they don't want you there with flu symptoms.

So , ta all.

This needs to be shared..

This is what the farce called global warming was all leading to. this is what we will be losing by electing this man. This should be shared. I got this from Bungalow Bill's. You should post it on your site. And have a friend post it on theirs and theirs and theirs and theirs. Why there is still maybe time.

When our Government goes after us.

I just turned 55 last month. Pretty good long time on this planet. And since I have been paying attention, about the last 28 or so years, I have never seen our government go after us like it is these days.

It is an American tradition to voice our freedom of speech loudly throughout history. We are proud to be able to. We fought to have the right. And mostly our government recognizes that.

Lately though you have to watch it if you say what you think. Especially if its the truth. The government will come after you. Stomping on your right to free speech. Remember Joe the plumber? I could not believe the way our government went after him for saying what he believed in. From the media to the IRS they did their best to drag his name through the mud.

Then Sarah Palin. Rarely have I see such a smear campaign of such huge proportion. I just want to know. Where were those pink ladies and NOW when they were shredding her to ribbons. Here we have a smart classy lady. One us women should be proud to call one of our own. Made her way to the top and our government spared no expense to soil her name. Maybe this is where some of our missing bailout money went.

Then we had the tea party citizens. After reading this joke of a health care plan the government is trying to shove down our throats, informed citizens came out in droves to voice our freedom of speech. Next thing you know our government has a 1- 800 turn in your neighbor number. Can you believe it! Then what? What was the implementation of that? To me it implied past visions of horrors in this world we should all vow not to let ever happen again.

Since they, ( our government) control most of the media now, hummmm, more missing bailout money perhaps, we became the mob. Crazy terrible people. Well, I went to several of them. They didn't seem at all crazy to me. They did seem angry though. I am also, mad as hell and you know I don't swear very often.

They did their best, still working on it, to go after Rush. Really after anyone who isn't completely behind their agenda. Which according to the polls is most of us these days. And the latest is Fox news.

Oh yes, Fox news. Crazy right wing nut jobs who only report the most slanted outrageous lies about our beloved leader and his socialist appointees. And who does the white house put in charge of watching over this terrible network? Anita Dunn. The same Anita Dunn who says her idol, the person she most admires is Mao Tse Tung! Her favorite political philosopher.

Pretty scary. He was responsible for thousands of deaths. Why is it so many people Obama has named as his czars are armpit deep in Marxist beliefs. Their hero's are Che, Castro, and Mao. They are doing their best to rid the world of Fox news. And any station they can't control the content of.

Personally, Rush, I would be proud to wear a shirt saying I was sponsored by you. Glenn Beck, I also think this is the scariest time I have ever lived though. Joe, you can fix my plumbing anytime. Sarah, you got my vote. And I like the mob I am hanging around with. We have our sight firmly fixed to the future, and what it will be like if we lose this voice. And that is very scary.
