Hello all

Hi everyone.   It's been awhile.   I got my short arm cast off yesterday and am typing with 2 hands, what fun.  My incision looks good, just bruised and swollen and worse is over.   Now to see if it fixed my problem.

The grandkids are still here and we are having a blast.   Yesterday we may won ton chips using whey low sugar sub. and cinnamon and then some out of dill and salt.   Great chips to dip into the hummus.  The kids had never had hummus but really liked it.  And they couldn't tell the whey low was a sugar substitute and loved them.   The later we made cookies.  Not low fat, LOL but they had fun.   I am keeping them so busy they don't miss the TV we don't have.  It has been so fun having them around again.

I went to OT yesterday on my hand.  I still have the stitches in and won't get those out until Monday so we are watching them carefully since I have a tendency to react to them.  So far so good.  And I am back to doing my workouts.  No weights yet because I can't with this wrist but I am doing well 1 week after surgery.

So I see Al Franken had a large convicted felon following on the last election,  I bet even dead people liked and voted for him, what a huge surprise.   And they say they can't do anything about it?   Why not.   Why can't we do anything about voting fraud?   Why is he still in office and why is he still on the payroll?   Would you be?  Would I.   I am so sick of the entire corrupt mess.

Yesterday top news about Mel Gibson yelling at his girlfriend but you also had a Black panther advocating killing all cracker babies and being threatening at the voter polls and you don't hear nary a thing.   KKK in black robes but that's OK?  Racial hate is never OK.  Never.  No matter what race but apparently we have gone back 60 years.

I was watching a jazz show the other day and I couldn't help but notice that musicians alway's get along regardless of race.   They admire each other based on their talents and skill, not on their color.   We should all learn from them.

Oh, and I have had another visit from the census taker.  3rd one so far.   What's up with that.  Makes you wonder about how accurate that will be when they can't even cross you off the list when they have seen you.  Info is still the same.  2 adults, one male, one female.  Ta.

Well I have been slowly catching up on the blogs.   With the kids here I don't seem to get on the computer much.  Hope everyone is doing well.

Surgery tomorrow

Created by MyFitnessPal - Free Weight Loss Tools

Tomorrow is the day of my surgery.    At this point I am just anxious to get it over with.   I worked my last shift for awhile last night.   I made my mini goal of losing another 8 pounds before surgery.   I will be almost 40 pounds lighter then the last time I had this wrist worked on.   Sure hope it works this time.  I am getting a extended warrenty this time.   Oh and Missy,  my knee is still messed up.  Better but if I step wrong,  oh man.  Joy of aging.

The grandkids are here and we have been having so much fun.   Bike riding and playing in the pool.   They are getting so big.   Both are good cooks and they have been making us breakfast,  that's cool.   But that is why I haven't been around much,  plus my computer crashed and it took me this long to figure out how to fix it.    No more letting my grandson play on it, LOL.

Hope everyone had a great 4th and a safe one.   Let Freedom ring.   Sleeping through the canon's my neighbor let off was a challenge but I made it and Zoey survived her least favorite holiday again.   She hates the firecrackers.

Well,   I have to continue to reload my computer.   I lost all my email address's so drop me a line so I can add them again.  Without the viagra attachment, LOL.

More on "Free Health Care" get ready for sky high taxes

And here we go...aren't those people that thought this would be "FREE", going to be surprised.
You really need to read this……starts next year This is supposed to be part of the new Health Care Bill. I contacted my Congressman about House bill HR3590 the health care bill
Just passed. I asked for a summary of changes.
The aid directed me to go to www:
thomas.gov ; enter HR3590 in the search
Box and look for summaries.
Starting in 2011 (next year folks) your W 2 tax form sent by your employer
Will be increased to show the value of what ever health insurance you are
Given by the company. It does not matter if that's a private concern or
Governmental body of some sort. If you're retired ? So what; your gross Will go up by the amount of insurance you get.

The dollar value (cost of what the company pays for your insurance) will be considered income
and added to your gross pay. You will be taxed on the total

You will be required to pay taxes on a large sum of money that you have
Never seen.

Take your tax form you just finished and see what $15,000 or $20,000
Additional gross does to your tax debt. That's what you'll pay next year.
For many it also puts you into a new higher bracket so it's even worse.

This is how the government is going to buy insurance for 15 % that don't
Have insurance and it's only part of the tax increases.

Not believing this I researched the summaries and here's what I'm reading:

On page 25 of 29 :

TITLE IX REVENUE PROVISIONS- SUBTITLE A: REVENUE OFFSET PROVISIONS-(sec .
9001 , as modified by sec. 10901)
Sec.9002.  "requires employers to include in the W-2 form of each employee
The aggregate cost of applicable employer sponsored group health coverage
That is excludable from the employees gross income."

Grandchildren

Tomorrow the grandkids will be here.   I am so excited I can't sleep.   But also we have a tornado watch going on right now so I am having trouble sleeping due to that also.   It is lighting and thundering out.   I hope the rest of the tree doesn't come down.

I spent much of the day in the pool today since it was soooo hot.   And being the good little skin cancer survivor that I am I am burnt.   I used sun screen,  it just wasn't enough.   Bummer.

My surgery is getting closer and closer.   I am getting more and more nervous.   I am so sick and tired of getting cut up.   Please cross your fingers that this surgery works and I am never going to have any surgery again.

Otherwise not much going on.   Exercising a lot so I am stick and sore most of the time.   Gee, it wasn't this hard getting in shape when I was younger.   Still losing slowly but losing which is a good thing.   Finally broke down and went down 2 sizes in pants.   Couldn't keep them up anymore.

Well,  the thunder is getting closer.  Time to shut down the computers .  Hope the worst misses us.

Weight loss and politics trim the fat.

Created by MyFitnessPal - Nutrition Facts For Foods

As you can see I am still losing weight, yeah me.   26.4 pounds since I joined My Fitness Pal.com and 8 pounds before that.   Plus what I lost and didn't gain back before means I have lost 46 pounds.   It feels good.
I have been riding my bike again and went on a 14 mile ride yesterday.   The weather was hot and humid, 93 out.   I only had to use my inhaler once.   So far this year I have had a couple of nasty asthma attacks so I am being very cautious and using my inhaler before and during long rides and it seems to be helping.

I am also working out to DVD's at home.   I am doing the 5 mile walk and Sweatin to the Oldies.   Love the music in the Sweatin tapes.   My goal was to lose 8 pounds by my surgery on the 6th.  I am not sure I will make it but every little bit helps,  right.

I am feeling bad about being off during the month of July.   We are short and then they just announced a strike by the nurses for that month.   The hospital will really be short.  I personally don't think nurses should strike.  I actually do not like the union we have and have never joined.  But I especially don't think nurses should strike.   Patients have to be able to know we are there to take care of them.   They have enough to worry about without being worried about that.   I took an oath to my patients.

On other notes.    The tax and trade bill,  whoops, cap and trade bill.   I read this bill will raise each and everyone of our utility bills by a thousand a month.   No matter what your income is.   That is just one of the terrible things.   They will want to be able to put a regulator in everyone's homes so they can adjust your heat.   Special outlets that you will need a key to open,  but you won't get the key.  They will decide when you vacuum your rugs,  when you dry your hair.  What your thermostat will be set at.  66 will be the norm.   My friend that has a tv in every room?  Bye bye.   But she doesn't believe it will happen anyway.   Not that she pays any attention  to politics or the news or has even read the bill.  She just doesn't believe it can happen in the United States.  Sorry Sweety,  it can happen in Obama's USA.
Then the health care reform.   We have seen the first closings of insurance companies starting.   More will be following.  And did you know with this bill you will now be taxed on what your employers contributions are to your plan also?   And retirement plans, taxable, unbelievable.   This new government is hell bent on destroying the country.

Electric cars.   Give me a break.   How are we going to charge these cars that at the best only go 60 miles a charge?   What kind of pipe dream is this.   Imagine a vacation where you will only be able to go as far as your battery will allow.   And we have people at my hospital that drive more then 60 miles to work.  Guess they will be out of luck.  As if I remember my science, coal is a natural product.  What about all those batteries?  What is it they say the lifetime of them is,  a year at most?  Mountains of used batteries leaking.  How come the EPA isn't screaming about that?

Wind turbin's?  Twice as expensive as coal and hazardous to your health it turns out.   Very expensive to maintain.  Again,  the reason why your utility bill will go up to unheard of amounts.   And how many thousands and thousand of jobs will this cost.

Why this government is hell bent on destroying our economy I have trouble understanding.   When we are all out of work,  when we are all on the government dole, who will pay the taxes?   Who will give to charities, who will maintain the roads,  who will become doctors, nurses, mechanics?  Then what,  THEN WHAT.

My same friend that doesn't believe they will tax her for her fireplace or her 8 TV's also drives a SUV.   The biggest you can get.   She flies all over the country a couple times a month.   She loves here life.  Why won't she do all she can to protect it?   Why aren't we all?
