Cool Van

In my many years I have come to a conclusion that one
Useless man is a shame, two is a law firm and three or
more is a congress.--John Adams

Monday

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter. What a blessing the day is.

We ate at my son's on Saturday and I gave the kids plastic Easter Eggs with gold dollars in them, they loved that. I told them it was pirate gold. And I heard my grandchildren get to come for the entire month of July. How exciting. I wish I had known that months ago so I could have gotten some time off. But, it will be fun.

I worked Saturday night and made what I am worth. It was a good night and I had some lovely patients. The next nurse said that the family of one of my sickest patients was really impressed with me, awe shucks. Thanks. I try to do my best and it helps that I love my work.

Not much going on here. I am still back on my plan and losing weight. It's a good thing. I am on a challenge to lose 10 pounds this month. I will be happy with half that.
Today I plan on some yard work before it rains. If I wear my brace it helps and my pain has been very manageable since I got it.

My knee is still causing me some problems. I looked at my old MRI report and had forgotten I had cysts in my knee also. I must just be really good at having my body create cysts, darn.
The spring wood flowers are blooming all over and very pretty. Spring has finally come to Iowa. I have my seed beds planted and am going to plant some hollyhocks this year. I love the old fashion look of them.

Does anyone remember Ruby Ridge? I have been thinking about what happened there a lot lately. It's a good thing to keep in mind.

11 on a Rope

Eleven on a rope

Eleven people were hanging on a rope,
Under a helicopter.
10 men and 1 woman. The rope was not strong
enough to carry them
All, so they decided that one had to
leave,
Because otherwise they were all going
to fall.
They weren't able to choose that person,
Until the woman gave a very touching speech.
She said that she would voluntarily let go
of the rope, because,
As a woman, she was used to giving up
everything for herHusband and kids or for men in general ,
and was Used to always making sacrifices with
little in return.
As soon as she finished her
speech,
All the men started clapping

Release from my Doc

Created by MyFitnessPal - Free Calorie Counter

I see the shoulder doc today and will finally get my release for complete full duty. It really does take 6 months to recover from this surgery. I thought because I was working so hard I would skim a few months off my recovery but it was not to be. But I can honestly say I have all my shoulder back and the pain is just occasionally instead of constant.

My wrist is also feeling much better. I wear my brace at night and when I am typing a lot and it has helped. What a relief. I hope it keeps up.

Of course I can't be completely free from pain. I wouldn't know who to handle that right. So at work I have been walking the steps to get exercise since I am back on my eating plan. Since I joined my fitness pal I have lost another 14 pounds for a total of 16. Its a really great site to keep track of your food as the diary there is really good and they have most of the foods I eat in their logs. So that is going well.

Now of course I am still worried about what is happening and finally hearing more and more people waking up to the fact we are being overthrown by our own government. Did you know that at least half of the teaparty members are women? Why women? Because we are a huge part of the working force these days. And we are mothers. Angry mothers at what we see happening to our children's future. No right wing nuts as the media likes to call us. Concerned American citizens. Determined to get our country back and make our children's future bright again. I am a proud member of the angry mob.

I love the way the teaparty is growing. There are several groups now with chapters in almost every city. I belong. Do you. Are you happy about all this change. I think now even the most avid supporter will admit that this is not what they thought they were going to get. They were duped. And unfortunately we are paying the price.
